Class Opening Greeting: Greet the students as they arrive for class. II. Lesson Hook Today we will talk about colours. Before that, I hope you can answer me some questions. (What colour is this?—— red, green, black, yellow, white ) Okay, good, today we will learn Lesson 19 My Favourite Colours. ( Write on the blackboard) III. New Concepts 1. Favourite colours

A. Words Teacher: Look at the pictures and read after me. (Play the PPT for them) Ask the students to read the words (brown and blue) one by one. Read the words again, and write them on the blackboard at the same time. Point to “colours” and ask the students to read for some times. (colour——colours) Play a game T: Look, I have wrote these words on the blackboard. Now, let’s play a game. I circle red and white. The rule of this game is that when I point to the word, you should read it aloud. But when I point to the word which has a circle, you should keep silence. Understand? Are you ready? Here we go! B.

Sentences a. T: Now, let’s look at some sentences. The three sentences are so easy for you, right? ——I like red.（我喜欢红色）

——I like blue.（我喜欢蓝色）

——I like green.（我喜欢绿色）

But, blue is my favourite colour. (Favourite, this is a new word for you. It means 最喜欢的，最喜爱的.) Ask the students to read “ favourite ” for sometimes. And then, look at two sentences: —— What’s your favourite colour? —— My favourite colour is…

Read them and ask the students to follow along, and then ask the students to use the two sentences to communicate with their partners in the group, three minutes later, call them to show.(Just choose 4 groups) b. After the show, give them some awards. T: I have some candy(so many colours) here, who wants to have one? Answer my questions and you can get one, okay? Ask what’s their favourite colours? c. T: Okay, now please open your student book, and turn to page 50. Let’s look at what’s their favourite colours? I will play the radio of this part for you. Look at your book and listen to it carefully. ( Play it for three times) The radio is over, now I will give you three minutes to read this part by yourself, begin.
