Warm-up

In China,we usually start a conversation with

“您吃饭了吗？”. However, in most English-speaking countries, people don’t do that. Can you guess what will they do? Yes, that’s right. They often talk about the weather before their conversation. OK, today we’ll learn how to talk about weather in English. Let’s go!(Blackboard-writing: What’s the weather like?)

Words teaching At first, let’s see some kinds of weather forms together. Then,if you want to know more weather forms, please open your book and turn to page 68.(Games: Loud and low voice; Golden finger.) 3.

Text teaching

Now, please turn to page 22 and look at the picture in your book, meanwhile, guess what are they talking about? Then, teach the students to read the sentences beside the picture and let them translate the sentences from English to Chinese. 4.

Practise and act

As the saying goes,”Practice makes perfect.” Then, let’s practise the dialogue and do the role play together. 5.
