活动目标

通过chant、摘水果、猜水果,送水果回家等活动激发学生的学习热情。
教学过程Teaching Procedure Pre-task Preparation 1. Greetings. 2. Chant.
T: Look, we have so many teachers here, let’s say “Hello, teachers”. Now, let’s have a chant for the teachers.
While-task Procedure
Step 1
Learn new words: fruit, apple(s), orange(s), pear(s),
peach(es) 1. T: Now, it’s autumn. In autumn, we can eat many fruits. (Show a bowl of fruits) Look, I have got some fruits, too.
Teach ‘fruit’. 2. T: Do you like fruits? Look, here are some fruit trees. I can pluck an orange. Now you can come to the front and pluck the fruit. 3. T: I have an apple. Who has got an apple, stand up, please.
Teach the word: apple, an apple. (Stick an apple and the word ‘apple’ on the blackboard.)

(Stick ‘apples’ on the blackboard.) 4. Teach the other three words: orange(s), pear(s), peach(es).
Step 2
Read the words 1. Read the words. 2. T: Let’s read after the tape again. Now open your books and turn to page 30.
Step 3
Play a game & learn the words: mango(es), lemon(s) T: We have learned four fruits. Let’s play a guessing game.
(Guessing game: What’s this? It’s a/an …) T: It’s a mango/lemon.
Teach ‘mango’, ‘lemon’. T: Can you guess, how many mangoes have I got?
Step 4
Say a rhyme: T: (Show the six fruits on the slide.) We have learnt these fruits. Now let’s have a rhyme about them, OK? Apples, oranges, I can see.
Apples, oranges, for you and me. T: Who can make a rhyme?

______, ______, for you and me.
(Fill in the blanks with pears, peaches, mangoes, lemons) T: Let’s say together.
Post-task Activities
Step 1
Practice the drill: What do you like? I like …
T: Oh, you are so great. I’ll give you some fruits to eat. T: (Take some fruits) What do you like? Ss: I like …
Ss ask the teacher. T: I like apples. Apple is good for us. So we can have some apples every day. T: Now you can ask and answer in your group. The leaders come to the front and take some fruits. Step 2
Take the fruits home. T: Time is up. Let the fruits go back home. T: (Take the fruit trees away) Now let’s say goodbye together. ‘Goodbye apples…’
