2. 教学重点/难点 Language points (语言点) 1. 词汇: post office, restaurant, library, supermarket, bank, park, pay, street, center, near, bridge, across, between, in front of, behind 2. 句型: Is there a bank near here? Yes, it is./No, there isn’t.

Where’s the bank? It’s on Center Street. Difficulties (教学难点) 1. Where 引导的特殊疑问句。

2. 肯定陈述。

3. 表示方向的介词。

教学过程：

Step1：

Revision Talk about the weather in different cities. Step2: Presentation(Places) 1 Learn the new words about different place by a guessing game Post office, police station, hotel, library, restaurant, pay phone, park, hospital……

2 Guessing game: say the places as quickly as possible 3 Read the words together and try to remember them Step3: Learn the new structure: there be 1 Explain the new structure to the students 2 Describe the places around Bob’s new school by using :“There be”

3 Have a conversation: Is there a … near here？

Yes, there is. It’s on … Street. Step4: Prepositions 1 Learn the prepositions by the position between the ball and the box 2 Do the listening practice: Use the prepositions to fill in the blanks 3 Read the sentences together Step5: A competition 1 Choose the gift you like and try to finish the task in the gift, if you can do it well you can get the marks in the gift.(group work) Step6:Draw your dream living places Discuss and design your dream living places. And tell us what places do you want to have. You have to use some words and preposition phrases to make sentences.

For example: I live in Long Cheng Road, and there is a bank near my home……
