教学思路

本课时的教学内容是人教版七年级英语第九单元的第三课时,重点是学习有关星期的词汇; 通过创设语境,播放歌曲引入教学，学会谈论他人喜欢的科目并给出理由;学会谈论一周的课程安排。以活动引起学生的兴趣,任务以听说为主。将知识目标设定为掌握有关星期的词汇以及询问、回答他人喜欢的科目并给出理由的句型;根据实际情况能够制定课程表。情感目标定为学会合理地安排自己的时间,正确处理好自己兴趣与学习的关系。

教学准备

设计教学PPT ,多媒体,相应的图片。

Teaching steps Step1.Lead in Leading in 【情景1】

1.Greet the Ss as usual. Check the homework. 2.Get the students to listen to a song .Review the days of the week by using an English song , in order to make the class to remember the words of the week. 3. Look at the words on PPT, teach the Ss to read and learn the days of a week . T: There are seven days in a week. But which day is the first day of the week? Is it Monday? Ss: No, it’s Sunday.

T: Good! Let’s say the days of the week quickly.

Ss: The first day of the week is Sunday. The second day of the week is Monday. The third day of the week is Tuesday. The fourth day of the week is Wednesday. The fifth day of the 2

week is Thursday. The sixth day of the week is Friday. The seventh day of the week is Saturday. 4. Play a guessing game to master the words of the week . Pay attention to the differences between Tuesday and Thursday. Work in pairs to make their own conversations. Let some pairs act out their conversations. Leading in 【情景2】

Warm up by talking about student’s subjects. Ask the students : What subjects are you learning now ? What are they? Tell me the subjects(学科) you learn at school 1.

Play the PPT showing some pictures of the subjects to teach the new words. 2.

“Memory challenge”. Get the students to say out the words in English. Step2.Presentation 1. Play the PPT showing some pictures to teach the new adjectives, easy , difficult, free, cool, interesting, boring and busy

T: Please look at the picture.(Show a picture of someone who is lying on the beach to rest.) We can say: he is free.(Write the word “free” on the blackboard.) Ss: Free. Then teach the word “cool” in the same way. Step3 Pair work Get the students to do pair work using the following sentence patterns: --What’s your favorite subject?--My favorite subject is ________. ---Why do you like it?---Because it’s_______.(Using the words difficult, easy, interesting or boring.) 3

Step4 Practice T: Let’s work on 1a. Match the words on the left with their opposites on the right. Ask a student to check the answers. Ss read the words after the teacher, and then try to remember the words. The teacher should tell something about the use of the words. 【Keys】

1a: boring—interesting, fun ; difficult—easy; busy—free Step5. Listening practice (1b-1c) 1.

Ask Ss to read the words in 1a. T: Now look at the words in 1a. Can you read them aloud? Get the students to read the words. T: David is talking about his classes on the schedule. Listen to the recording and check (√) the words you hear in 1a. (Play the recording.) T: Which words do you hear? Read them out. Ss: Difficult and interesting.

2. Before the students do the task in 1c, the teacher should teach them to read new words and make sure they have correct pronunciations. T: Now look at the new words in 1b.Which words are the new words? Ss: A.M. and P.M.

T:Can you guess their meanings? Ss:上午和下午。(Please tell them if they can’t guess their meanings.)

T:Look at the schedule below. This is David’s schedule. December 25th is Monday, December 26th is Tuesday…

T: What classes does David have on Monday? Ss: He has science, English, Chinese, P.E., geography and art. 4

T: Then what activity does David have on Saturday? Ss: He has a soccer game. T: What activity does David have on Sunday? Ss: It’s Bill’s birthday party.

T: OK. Read through the schedule. Ss read through the schedule. Play the tape twice .For the first time, get the students to circle the classes David talks about on this schedule in 1c. For the second time, they can correct their answers. The teacher plays the tape for the first time. Students listen and circle the classes David talks about on this schedule in 1c. T: Now, class, please listen again and check the answers. T: Does David have math today? Ss: Yes. T: How many math classes? One or two? Ss: Two. T:What’s David’s favorite subject?

Ss: Chinese. T:What classes does David have? Ss: He has math, history and science this morning. T: Where will they meet? Ss: At music class. T: Well done! Listen and repeat the dialogue. The teacher helps the students with the important points. 3.

Then do some further listening listen to three short passage and answer the questions. Then check the answers. 4.

Fill in the blanks , ask some students to write their then check the answers by listening again. 5

Step 6. Oral practice (1d) 1. Complete the conversation in 1d. Ss can correct their answers in pairs. To make sure their answers are right, the teacher can ask some questions. Later tell them correct answers. 2. Then ask the students to do pair work Talk about your classmates with your partner T:What’s David’s favorite subject?

Ss: His favorite subject is Chinese. T:Why does he like Chinese? Ss: Because it’s interesting.

T:When is the class? Ss: It’s on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

2.Talk about your classmates’ favorite subjects using the conversation in 1d.

(Students ask and answer in pairs.)Then ask them to act it out in class. Step 7 Group work Ask at least three students beside you about their favorite days ,food, sport and subject. And ask why. At first, give them an example to imitate. Then write down and give a report(汇报) to us. If time is allowed, the teacher may check two or more pairs. Step 8 Homework 1．以My favorite ----为题写一篇短文。短文必须包含以下内容：
