一、教材分析 本课是外研社新标准英语（一起）三年级下册第六模块第二单元There is a small monster.本模块的话题是说明存在和数量。本单元的课文情境是Daming 与朋友们谈论他们做的关于怪物的海报，要重点学习there be

句型的含义和用法，并描述自己的房间。

二、学情分析 三年级的学生经历了两年半的英语学习，已经掌握了一定的单词、句子、语言结构。本课的重点there be

句型，在一年级下册M7，8中已有初步接触，本课学生将在there is基础上理解并运用there are

，并不太难于接受。重要的是让学生都敢于动嘴，提高交际能力。要注意在课堂学习中培养学生的自信心以及合作互助的精神，注意激发学生的学习兴趣。

（一）导入Warm-up and lead in（4分钟）

1. Greetings and say the numbers. 2. Play a game. T: Listen,point and do the actions. Touch your arms.... 3.

Chant.(P38 ---1) T: Do you like snowman?What has he got on his face?Let’s listen and chant. Ss: He has got............. T: Now let’s make another chant.(师指生，变换物主代词your/his/her/) 【设计意图】通过复习数字，听音跟做活动，chant等形式，不仅活跃课堂气氛，而且调动学生积极性，为新知做铺垫。

（二）Task presentation and Text-learning（12分钟）

理解并正确运用there be 句型描述事物的存在和数量。

Listen repeat and try to answer: (1). Answer the questions.(师问生答)

How many feet? Ss: There are Twenty-four hands. There are fifteen arms. There are six legs and six feet. (2). Drills in pairs.

(3). Read the text in pairs. Fill in the missing words. (4). Look at the pictures and try to retell the text. 【设计意图】第二遍听课文，解决本课学习重点，通过让学生大量感知含有there be的句子，从而逐步掌握there be句型的用法。注意纠正学生的语音语调，培养学生的语感。

（三）练习巩固

Practice（8分钟）

1. Look and say.There is/are..... Show the picture of P36 (Activity 3), let the students describe what’s in the picture. e.g

There is one boy. There are two dogs…

2. Let’s sing. Learn to sing the song “Three Green Parrots”

(1) Listen first time, let the students familiar with the tune of the song.

(2) Read the lyrics of this song, let the students understand the meaning of the song. Emphasize the phrase “in the tree”, compare it with “on the tree”. Deal with the difficulty “accidentally”. (3) Listen and follow it.

(2) Fill in the blanks: There is a boy. He is riding a bike. （1人说上句，其他人说下句，竞赛形式）
