Builds me camps out of sticks. Key points & difficult points: Learn about rhyme schemes, stress and intonation of poetry. Write a simple poem.

Teaching procedure: 1. Present the words of a song.(twinkle little star) Pay attention to the last word of each sentence. 2. Read the two poems, find out the words rhyme. 3. Finish Exercise B1 on P95.

4. Talk about what a dog can do to learn some new words. 5. Fill in the blanks in a short passage. 6. Read Poem1 and answer the question: what animals are in the poems? 7. Read Poem1 and choose. 8. Read Poem1 and answer the questions. ①Is your dog the cleverest animal of all? ②Does he just run after a ball? ③Does he do wonderful tricks? ④Will you look after him till the end? 9. Finish Exercise B2 on P95. 10. Read Poem2 and answer the questions. ①Is a goldfish any trouble? ②Does a goldfish bark? ③Does a goldfish miaow? ④Do you need to feed it much? ⑤Does a goldfish need a gentle touch? 11. Finish Exercise B3 & B4 on P96. 12. Try to fill in the poems in rhyme. 13. Homework: 1.Read and recite the poems again.2.Try to write a poem by yourself.
