一、教学目标

1、能理解并掌握单词village,college，leave过去式left，confident,shy。

2、能理解并掌握重点语法结构，如more+adj， too...to。

3、能听懂、理解并会读短文。

4、学生能仿照短文描述自己的英雄。

5、引导学生根据图片选出适当的单词完成句子。

6、帮助学生了解乡村教师，激发学生珍惜自己的学习环境，善于发现身边的英雄人物。

二、教学重难点

重点：1、掌握重点语法结构，如more+adj， too...to。

2、能听懂、理解并会读短文。

3、善于发现身边的英雄人物。

难点：学生能够运用本单元的词汇和句型，评价和描述人物，提高学生的综合语言运用能力。

四、教学过程

Warming up

(1)Free talk Q: 1.Do you like English? 2.

What do you like doing in English class? T: Look,what do they like doing in English class?(show pictures of part5) What are they doing? Now let’s finish the exercise. Check the answer and read the sentences.

Pre-reading (1)

Look,they are in the English class,too. What are they doing?(Ss:They are singing and dancing.) What is the teacher doing?(Ss: She is giving a lesson) Are they happy? Do they like English class?

4.While reading

(1)Now let’s listen to the text,and think about two questions: 1.

Who is their English teacher? 2.

Where does she work? (Miss Deng is a young teacher of a village school.) Read the sentences.

(2)What else do you want to know about her？

Work in groups and ask questions about her.

(3)Listen the first part and think: 1.How old is she? (She is young.She left college two years ago.) 2.What other subjects does she teach? (She teaches English.And she also teaches Chinese and music.) 3.What is she like? (She is kind to her pupils and they all like her.)
