Teaching and learning Goals: 1.

Learn the seven days of the week. 2.

Learn how to talk about Ss’ favorite subjects and give reasons.

Learn how to make out a useful learning schedule to save your time. Teaching focus and difficulties: 1.

While listening, students can circle some key words which are required to be mastered. 2.

Students should know what a schedule means. Teaching aids: Computer, electronic whiteboard. Teaching and learning steps: Step 1 Lead in and revision

Let students listen to a song about seven days. Then let them try to sing this song along！

After sing the song, let the students ask and answer questions about it. 3.

Ask and answer the questions like:

T: what is your favorite subject？

S: My favorite subject is …

T: Why do you like it?

S: Because it is …

And ask students another question: What is your favorite sport? And why? Step 2 Presentation 1a

I will ask some students playing the ping pong in class, and then ask them how you think about this activity, S: It’s difficult

or someone may think it’s easy. So let student

find the opposites about these words: difficult-easy, busy-free, boring-fun/interesting. Step 3 Present a schedule

1.Teacher show a schedule of our class, and say：Today is Wednesday, we have Chinese on Wednesday. And we have math on Monday. 2. Play a game: find out who is the fastest. Through this game can let students practice the sentences: We have …on….

Step4 Listening 1a and 1b 1. Listening for the main idea

T: Let’s listen to the tape and choose the main idea of the conversation.
