一、教学目标
1.语言知识目标: 1)能掌握以下单词:orange, ruler, pen, key, jacket, map, cup, quilt , spell, please 2)能掌握以下句型: ①
— What's this in English? — It's an orange. ②
— What's that in English? — It's a map? ③
— Spell it, please. — M-A-P.
2.情感态度价值观目标: 激发学生学习英语的兴趣,发挥学生学习英语的主动性;通过小组活动、组间竞赛,培养学生的合作意识和团队精神。
二、学情分析
本单元围绕“认物”这一话题开展听、说、读、写的学习活动。通过所学的句型— What's this in English? — It's a/an…— What's that in English? — It's a/an…去熟悉周围的一些事物的名称。此外,通过学习让学生们明白this和that均指代单数的事物,this指代离说话者较近的事物,that指代离说话者较远的事物,it指代上文出现的事物,也可指代上文出现的this或that。用英语确认周围常见事物比较适合初学者的实际情况,难度不大,易调动学生们的学习兴趣。
三、重点难点

句型对周围的事物进行问答练习。
2)运用Spell it, please句型,练习拼写所学的有关事物的单词,并强化记忆这些单词。

四、教学过程
Step One Warming-up and revision 1. Greet the Ss. 2. Sing a song “ABC”. 3. Show some pictures on the board. (orange, ruler, pen, key, jacket, cup, quilt, map)
Ask Ss to answer the questions:
T: What's that in English?
Ss: It's a ruler. T:How do you spell it? S1:R-U-L-E-R. T: What's this in English?
S1: It's an orange. T:Can you spell it? S1:Yes,O-R-A-N-G-E.
(Ask about more Ss about other things.用How about this one?/Is this a …?等不同方式)
Step Two Listening T:Now,it’s time for listening. 1.Let’s listen to the recording and number the pictures.
(check the answers.) 2. Now let's listen to the recording again. And complete the words under the pictures in 3a.
(check the answers one by one.) Step Three Pair work 1.
T: Now listen the recording and practice.(通过小组,男女等练习) 2.
(Ss listen to the recording and repeat after the recording.) T: You are Eric, your partner is Helen. Practice the conversations with your partner. (Ss practice the conversations in pairs.) A: What’s this in English?
B: It’s a map. A: Spell it, please. B: M-A-P 3. Let some Ss act out the conversation.
Step Four Pair work 1. T: Look at the picture. This is Helen's room. Let’s talk about the objects in her room. A: What’s that in English? B: It’s an orange. A: Spell it, please. B: O-R-A-N-G-E. Now work with your partner and ask and answer about the objects in Helen's room. Step Five Homework 1. 按字母表顺序默写字母A到Z的大写与小写。
2. 与你的同伴用英语进行询问一些单词的拼写。
