一、教学目标:

1.知识目标:

(1)能够听说读写新单词broken,light, How much...?.carry, pound,并能用形容词对事物进行描述。

学生能用形容词对身边的事物进行描述和比较。

(1) 让学生通过语言来完成任务,感受成功,从而进一步培养学生学习英语的兴趣,形成积极学习英语的态度。

Step1: Warming-up

Listen to the chant M3U2. (2)

Free talk: T: How are you today? Ss: I’m fine, thanks, and you? …

T:What’s the weather like today? Ss: It’s cloudy …

Ss: My favourite food is rice noodles …

Step2:Presentation

(1)Play a guessing game T: Boys and girls, look at the blackboard and tell me what it is. OK? Riddle1(课件出示): It’s big and strong. It’s got a long nose; it’s got two big ears; it’s got two small eyes, it’s got four big legs. What’s it?

Ss: It’s elephant.

Riddle ( rabbit, snake, monkey) (2)Review the adjective words. (long – short / tall, small – big, new – old / young, heavy – light, warm –

(3)Play a game (find the diffenrences). (课件出示图片) Picture1: T: Boys and girls, please describe the pictures. For example, this elephant is big, and this elephant is small. Picture 2: (ask students to describe them) This snake is long. This snake is short. Picture 3:This man is thin. This woman is fat. Picture 4: This kite is very big. This kite is very small. (4 ) Learn New word “broken”

Picture 5: The shoes are new. The shoes are old. T : (提示学生shoes 用are), and the shoes also are broken. ①操练并扩展:break – broke broken(形容词) ② Make sentences(课件出示图片):

Picture1(破了的鞋子): The red shoes are broken. Picture2(断的铅笔): This pencil is broken. Picture3(断的树): The tree is broken. Picture4(坏的小汽车): The car is broken. Picture5 (图片组合): The … is broken. ( bike / pencil / CD / kite)

Picture6 (受伤的手臂): His arm is broken. Picture7 (坏了的书包): My bag is broken. (板书) (5)Learn sentence: Your bag is broken. T (拿出一个坏了的包):Look, my bag is broken. How do you say to me? S1: Your bag is broken. T: Yes, very good. (板书Your bag is broken.) (操练句子) Step 3: New Teaching. (1) Leading: T: Boys and girls, our friend Lingling is going to come back to China. But her bag is broken. And Ms Smart will buy her a new one. Today, we’ll learn Module 5 Unit 1 Your bag is broken.

(2) Listen to the tape one time. (3) Listen to the first paragraph. And answer the questions: ① Where will Lingling go to? Ss: China. ② What’s the matter with Lingling’s bag? Ss: Her bag is broken.

③ What will Ms Smart buy? Ss: She will buy Lingling a new one.

(4)Listen to the left paragraph, then answer the questions: ① What is the black bag? Ss: The black bag is nice. (板书nice) But it’s heavy. (板书heavy) ② How about the green bag? Ss: It’s light. (板书light并强调字母igh的发音是/ ait/,并归纳字母发音相同的单词有night, might, right…)and small (板书small) ③ What about the black bag? Ss: It’s got wheels. (板书wheels强调字母ee的发音是/i:/, 并归纳字母ee发音相同的单词有week, meet, green…). It will be easy for her. (板书easy) (5)Listen and read after the tape together. (6)Read in roles. ( Teacher asks some students to read the text in roles. 3—4 次) Step4: Conclusion: T: Ok, boys and girls, you did a good job today, now please look at

the blackboard and let’s retell the text, ok?

Ss: OK. Ss: This black bag is nice, but it’s heavy. The green bag is light, but it’s small. This black bag has got wheels, it will be easy for her. Step 5: Practise ① Discribe the pictures with your partner (课件出示图片) (tiger, bird, panda, snake, elephant…)
