一、教学目标:

1. Language knowledge:

(1). 能理解、认读生词:festival, special, meal, sound,Thanksgiving, flag......

(2). 能理解和认读下面三个句子:

①Thanksgiving is my favourite festival.

②We always have a special meal.

③We say“thank-you”

for our food, family and friends.

2. Language skills:

(1).能集中注意力认真观察本课生词和新句子所在的语境,并通过联想在语境和语义之间建立起联系;

(2). 能谈论课文介绍的节日。

3. Emotional attitudes:通过营造轻松愉快的教学氛围,使学生积极参与教学活动,从中体会到学习的快乐,培养其要有感恩的情怀。

二、教学重难点:

1.教学重点:1.基本能听懂、会读festival, special, meal, sound,Thanksgiving, flag......

2. 能理解和认读句子“We always have a special meal.”

七、教学过程:

(一)Greet and warm up: T: I will divide you into two teams:you are Team 1 and you are Team 2. This class, Team 1 PK Team 2.

1.Greetings: T: Class begins. Stand up, please. Good morning, boys and girls.

Ss:Good morning, Miss Yang T: Sit down, please. Before our class,Let’s sing a song: We wish you a merry christmas.Relax ourselves. OK? Ss: OK! (设计意图:通过歌曲缓解紧张的气氛,为下面的学习做准备) (二)Lead in:

T: From the song, we can know one of the Amercian festivals. Do you know it? Who can try?(请生回答) T: Yes, the Christmas Day. T: What do you do on Christmas? Who can tell me about it? Who can try?

(请生回答后,PPT出示句子) T: Very good, let’s summary. At Christmas day.....(PPT出示,学生齐读) T: Can you tell me more about American Festivals? Let’s come to the text. And review some new words first.(卡片出示单词,多种方式读, 如:boys, girls, team 1, team 2 分别读,齐读等) T: This time I read the word“flag”,

you read:“flag, flag”.; I read“flag, flag”,you read“flag, flag, flag”。Understand? Ss: Yes.

(三)、Presentation:

1. Game time.

1). 听音找单词:请一位同学上台来,面向黑板,老师将单词卡片放在任一一位同学的课桌里,然后,其他同学用声音的大小来提示该同学,离单词所在地方越近,声音越大,反之越小,直到找到单词卡。

2) 摘苹果,看谁摘得快。(学生到前面单击苹果,然后读出苹果后面藏着的单词,读对了再次点击苹果,苹果消失)

2. let’s go back to the text, and learn more about American’s festivals. T: Now. Listen to the tape and answer the question.

What festivals do they talk about? Ss:

They talk about the Flag Day and Thanksgiving Day

T:

What is Flay day? What is Thanksgiving day?(PPT出示国旗日和感恩节的来历) 3. Teacher says:Now let’s go back to our text to learn more about Flay day and Thanksgiving day

Listen to the first paragraph, then answer : What do they do on Flag Day? (请生答后全班齐读)

⑵Listen to the second paragraph, then answer:What do they do on Thanksgiving day?(同上)

⑶Listen the tape again and answer:Can you tell me more about Thanksgiving Day? (同上)

4. Follow the tape and read it。

(四)、Practice:

1. 趣味操练:Lucky word:Choose a word and finish the work 2. Read and complete.(阅读并填空)

(五)、Summary:

说说在国旗日和感恩节时,“我们”做些什么?老师帮助补充。

(六)、情感升华----感恩教育:I am gratful for...... (我感激......) (七)、Homework: Find out more festivals, write them down, then talk about with your classmates(查找更多节日,写下来,并与同学交流)。
