Lesson 5 What Are They Doing? 一、教学分析：

教学对象是小学五年级的学生，五年级学生的年龄在十一到十二岁左右，虽然处于高年级学段，但仍然活泼好动，喜欢直观形象思维和抽象思维相结合，对游戏、竞赛、画画还有兴趣。大部分学生对英语有着较浓厚的学习兴趣，但也有少数学生由于遇到困难，学习兴趣会随之减弱。所以教师应该面向全体学生，以学生的发展为宗旨，始终把激发学生的学习兴趣放在首位，引导学生端正学习态度，掌握良好的学习方法，培养学生良好的学习习惯。

学习内容分析：

1. 本课是冀教版小学英语三年级起始版五年级下册，Unit 1

Going to Beijing中的第五课。在本课学生学习使用What are they doing? They are doing sth. What is he/she doing? He/She is doing sth. etc. 并能运用此句型进行简单的交流。

2. 能听懂、会说、认读reading the newspaper，playing cards，playing with the baby, 熟练掌握动词的现在分词变化规则。鼓励学生使用所学内容进行对话、回答问题。

二、教学目标：

1．在语境中练习有关现在进行时的句子，通过看图片、turntable和songs进行操练，能听懂、会说、认读reading the newspaper，playing cards，playing with the baby，熟练掌握动词的现在分词变化规则。

2.在对话中学习使用What are they doing? They are doing sth. What is he/she

doing? He/She is doing sth. etc. 并能运用此句型进行简单的交流。

三、教学重难点:

1．理解课文内容并能熟练的朗读；

2．能正确理解并能熟练灵活地运用现在进行时态。

四、教学环节：

Step1.Greetings and warm-up （课前互动）

1. Greeting

T: Hello, boys and girls. Did you ever travel by train? I have a plan.

Step2. Leading-in

（引出课题并出示目标）

1. Leading-in

T: Now, look at the word. Its stress is on the first syllable, ok, let’s look at other more words, read after the voices. Let’s look at this word. Its stress

is on the second syllable, please look at other more words, read after the voices.

Step4. Practice
