I. Teaching contents A. Let’s learn & let’s chant in Unit 6 Happy birthday!

(Book 1, Grade 3) II. Teaching material analysis In daily life, we often deal with numbers. This part is mainly about numbers. Ss can learn numbers from one to five, and chant about numbers. In“Let’s learn”, ss can learn how to say from one to five in English. What’s more, “Let’s chant” can not only consolidate ss’ learning, but also increase ss' interest in learning. III. Teaching aims 1. Knowledge aims a. Ss can listen, speak, and read words: one, two, three, four, five. b. Ss can understand and perform the chant. 2. Ability aims a. Ss can use numbers correctly in daily life.

T: Very well, thanks. 2. Enjoy the video“Happy birthday”, sing the song together. Step 2. Presentation & Practice 1. A. Let’s learn a. Present new word---one: Show flash of one, read after the

record.

Practice: Ding-dong and say. (Invite ss to touch my forefinger with theirs. I say” Ding-dong!” and ss say” one”.)

b. Present new word---two: Show two pictures of a flower one by

one, read after the record.

Practice: Two, two, jump, jump. ( Ss do actions and say” Two, two, jump, jump!”)

c. Present new word---three: Show pictures of dogs, play barks of

dog, read after the record.

Practice: Punch and say. (Show the word card of three, invite ss to punch the card and say” Three, three, three!”)

d. Present new word---four: Show a picture of four flowers, read

after the record. Practice: Drive a train. (Read “four” one by one in lines.)

e. Present new word---five: Show a picture of five flowers, read

after the record. Spell it slowly: f-i-ve.

Practice: High five. (Invite ss to give me five and say” five”.)

2. A. Let’s chant

a. Play flash for ss to learn the chant. b. Explain “Jump up high!” and “It’s so fun!”

c. Do actions for each sentence, practice in pairs. d. Perform the chant group by group.

Step 3. Consolidation & Extension 1. egg smashing Invite ss to smash eggs on the screen and do exercises. 2. Shout it out. Show five lattices with new words in it. Encourage ss to watch the flash and shout their favorite numbers out. Step 4. Summary & Homework 1. Invite ss to share what they’ve gained in this period.

VIII. Teaching prediction In real teaching, I will adjust teaching method and teaching content according to ss’ reactions, so that ss can learn better in a cozy way.
