Step1: Lead-in Task 1 Show a picture of fruit, ask the students to guess what they are and ask:

What can you see?

Are they healthy?

Do you like them? Task2 Show some food of 2a and talk about them with the sentences: I think ... is/are healthy/unhealthy; I think maybe ... is/are healthy.

Step2: Pre-reading Task3 Prediction. Look at the picture and title to predict : Who is she? What does she do? What does she like? What does “eat well” mean?

Step3: While-reading Task 4 Skimming. Read 2b quickly and circle the words about food. Task 5 Scanning.

Read the article again and fill in the chart:

Step4: Post-reading Task 6 Read the article and the chart above and write five sentences about Cindy’s eating habits.

After dinner, I think... Task 8 Discussion. Show some pictures of students eating junk food, and discuss:

What should we eat?
