本堂课以chant作为导入，让孩子们在生活中感受到轻松的英语学习环境，也为本课重点提供一个良好的语境。并且能够顺其自然引入主题，通过对Li Wei过去与现在的描述感知一般现在时态与一般过去时态的区别。通过训练学生阅读来找出本堂课的新单词，并且进行学习。而且在听、读的过程中，让学生进行任务型活动，促进了学生阅读能力的形成。最后，通过让学生进行说话训练，进而完成写作训练，培养小学中高段学生的听、说、写的能力。
