words and expressions,such as spell,please,orange,ruler,pen,key,map. 2.

Students can master the key sentence patterns in this section such as:1.What’s that in English?It’s an orange.2.What’s that in English?It’s a map.3.Sepll it,please.-M-A-P. 3.

Students can master the basic information of the listening material. Process and method objectives:By looking at the picture ,listening the material,making dialogue and discussing,students can improve their listening and speaking abilities. Emotion,attitude and value objectives:Cultivating students’

imagination in learning activities of understanding things.Students’

Teaching key points:1.Students can use the sentence patterns such as What’s this/that?It’s...2.Students can spell words about things they have learnded.

Teahing difficult points:Students can learn to use the rules learned to try to spell new words.

三、Teaching procedures: Step1:Warming up and revision 1.

Greet the students and check the homework. 2.

Recite the words.Let students read these words loudly. 3.

Show them some pictures and ask students to answer the questions:T:What’s this in English?Students:It’s an orange.(Ask about more students about other things.) 4.

Let students ask and answer about the objects in pairs. (Justification:to inform the students what the topic is that they are going to talk about) Step2:Pre-listening 1.

Let the students see the pictures in the textbook and let them say the corresponding English words.

(Justification:to arouse students’ interest)

Step3:While-listening 1.

Listen to the recording and number the pictures. 2.

Now let’s listen to the recording again and complete the words under the pictures in 3a.(play the tapes three times.For the first and the second time,students listen and write letters to complete the words,for the third time ,check the answers with the whole class.) 3.

Now listen the recording.For the first time only listen and for the second time,listen and repeat after the recording.

Tell students to look at the box in 3d .Then let some students read the words aloud.Make sure they know the meaning of every word. 5.

Tell students that they will hear four conversations.They are about different objects.Listen to the conversations and number the words you hear.

(Justification:to help students get a better understanding about the listening material) Step4:Post-listening Look at the picture in 3e,this is Helen’s room.Eric and Helen are talking about the objects in her room.What can you see in the room?Who can act the conversation in the picture?Now work with your partner and ask and answer about the objects in Helen’s room.
