S: They are clothes.

T: Describe them. What’s this?

S: It’s a big black hat.

T: Please ask and answer about their prices.

A: How much is the big black hat?

B: It’s three dollars. 2

Grammar Focus

(1) Read through Grammar Focus.

(2) Work on 3a. Ask the students to make four sentences with the words in the three boxes. (3) Get them to check their answers in pairs. (4) Ask some Ss to read out their answers to the class.

(5) Find out the rules of making these sentences. 4.

Ask two Ss to read it to the class. 5. Ask Ss to work in small groups.

Appoint a leader. Make sure everyone talks about at least one of the people on the screen. 6. Work on 3c.Ask pairs of Ss to present their conversations to the class.

7. Homework

1). Review the grammar you’ve learned today. 2). Make your own shopping conversation. 3). Preview the new words and expressions.
