1.To be able to get information about goldfish 

2.To complete a conversation with the information you found 

3.To talk about your favourite pet in English

Teaching procedures:

Pre-listening Task 1:Free talk 1.Do you like animals? 2.Do you keep a pet at your home? 3.If you have a chance to keep a/another pet, what will you choose? Why?

Task 2: Take a guess It likes eating fish and is good at catching mice. It loves to sleep on your knees. It likes eating carrots and has long ears. It is lovely and it can run fast. It has colourful feathers. It can sing and we can teach it to speak. We can watch it swim around at home. It doesn’t make any trouble. It just bubbles.

Task 3: Think and answer 1.What do you think of the goldfish? 2.Would you like to have a pet goldfish?

3.Why or why not? 4.Do you know how to look after a goldfish?

Task 4: Do a survey 

Can you put a gold fish in the sun? 

Is a goldfish heavy? 
