Aims of knowledge: Learn some useful words, phrases and sentence patterns. 2.

Aims of ability: Improve the students’ reading abilities. 3.

Aims of emotions: Help the students have impressions about great women and build their own value. Teaching emphasis and difficulties:

1.help the students learn some words and useful expressions. 2. Improve the students’ reading skills. Teaching procedure:

Step1. Review and Lead in

1.Rewiew some qualities a great women should have. 2.Watch a short video to learn more about Lin Qiaozhi. Step2. Reading 1.Read the passage quickly and sum up the main idea. 2.Read it again and find out the three achievements of Lin Qiaozhi.

3.Discuss the questions in group of four. 4.Retell the story. Step3. writing At the end of this term, you will choose whether you will learn arts or sciences. So you will consider what you will be in the future, a doctor , a teacher…

Please write a short paragraph about what career you want to choose . Give your reasons. Step4. Homework 1.Read the passage after class. 2.

Better your writing after class. 3.Finish the exercises on page 11 and 12. Blackboard design:
