Let’s make a puppet !

Teaching objectives:

1. This part presents the story of Zoom and Zip making a rabbit puppet. Ask students to understand the general idea of the story, expand and use the language appropriately.

2. Students should be able to understand the sequence of actions by “first” and “then”. And learn to admire the opinions of others using "Good idea" in daily life.

K ey point: Expand and use language on the basis of understanding the story.

Difficulty:Use “first”, “then”to indicate the sequence of actions. Learn to use “Good idea!” in your daily life to admire the opinions of others.

Teaching aids: PPT courseware, Puppet components.

Teaching procedures:

一、Warm-up

Let’s sing:Teddy Bear!

Students can add their own actions while singing.

二、Presentation

1. The teacher shows the puppet model and explains in English:Look! This is a puppet. (Teaching the new word : puppet)Then introduces:Look at me. I’m a puppet. This is my head . This is my face . This is my mouth . This is my nose ……霍山县诸佛庵镇中心学校汪婧

The teacher undertakes the above link, add signs and stresses, continues to introduce puppet:Look at me. Look at my eyes, my ears, my arms, my le gs……

2. Then, encourage students to imitate:Look at me. I’m a puppet. This is my head . This is my face . Look at my eyes, my ears……

[Design intention] In the warm-up session, to deal with the new word “puppet”processed, review the words of body parts , and preliminary perceive, experience, and comprehend the plural of noun in the process of imitation . Moreover, prepare for new lesson.

3. Teacher asks students: Do you like puppets? Then takes out the puppet components: Let's make a puppet. Then slow down and repeat: “make a puppet”. Let students understand the new sentences in the situation.

4.General reading.

Read quickly and make simple judgments:

① Zoom and Zip make a puppet. ( )

② First, make the legs. ( )

③Then, make the body. ( )

5.Watch the video.

Get the general idea of the story.

6. According to the above situation, the teacher said: Let's make a puppet! Guide the students to answer: Good idea! Then teaches the new sentence in time: Good idea! Create scene, such as: Let's play ping-pong! Let the students using “Good idea! “correctly in the situation.

三、Practice

1. Act it out!

2. Game: Puppet show!

Rules: The whole class said: Let's play with the puppet.

Clap your hands.
