Present

Lead Fun Day in (2min) T uses funny gestures to greet two students

“Hello, How are you?”

After the students answer, T : Now let’s watch a funny video. T plays a video which makes all the students laugh. T leads the topic in: Wow. It is very funny! Today is fun day. T

sticks the fun day cutout to the blackboard while saying: On fun day, we can be very happy, even English can be full of fun!

Present “I can”(2min) T does the first gesture in the video and say: Look. I can do it. How about you? T guides the students to say: “I can.”

And invites them to go to the platform and show. T praises: Good. You can do it! T repeat this procedure with the second and third funny gesture. T: If you can do sth, then you can say “I can____” T sticks the I can cutout to the blackboard and teaches the pronunciation.

Present the background information (1min) “And I have a surprise for you.” T shows a pic of a beautiful night

saying: ”Look, what a good night. And wow, what is it? It is a planet. Can you tell me? What color is it?”

Ss: Yellow. T:”Good. And sb is living on this planet. Can you tell me who is living?” S: “Beeno.”

T: Yes. Look. Beeno is here. And where are you? We are here. We are at our Yongxing school!And today Beeno is going to Yongxing to see us! Are you happy?

T shows the route of Beeno going to Yongxing. But if Beeno wants to go to Yongxing. He needs to go from 1 to 2 to 3 to 4 to 5. Let’s first look at 1 to 2.

Present jump(3min)

1. What can Beeno do from 1 to 2? Can he climb? Can he jump? Can he run? Can he skip? T leads Ss to choose one pic out of four on the blackboard. After Ss chose, T: Let’s listen.

2. Ss practice the phonics of jump.

T stick the word jump to the cutout of “I can”. T ask another train to read I can jump. And praise the Ss. T invites two or three students to compete who can jump higher while they are saying “I can jump”

T goes to the planet map. I can jump. jump. jump. jump. Now who can be Beeno and jump from 1 to 2 ? T invites two Ss act Beeno, other Ss say the verb..

Present run(3min) 1.

We know Beeno can jump. Now Beeno is on this green planet. A monster appears. Oh my god, what is it? What can Beeno do? Can he climb? Can he run? Can he skip? T leads Ss to choose one pic out of three on the blackboard. After Ss chose, T: Let’s listen.

T plays the audio of “I can run.” Yes, you are right.

2. Ss practice the phonics of run.

3. T read the word with action (running from the first row to the last row) and ask one train to read the word with action. T praise the Ss Wow, you can run. You can run, too. If you can run, you can say I can run. T stick the word run to the cutout of “I can”.

T ask Who can run? And invites other students to act and read I can run. And praise the Ss. T invites a girl and a boy to see who can run faster. 4. Wow, you can run. How about Beeno? Let’s see.

T plays the flash of Beeno running from 2 to 3. (If the Ss don’t read after, then T ask the Ss to read after again) 5. Now I am Beeno.

Practice (7 min) Congratulations! Beeno finally is in Yongxing! Although he is tired, he is very happy because he has a lot of fun. We know to go to Yongxing, Beeno can jump. Beeno can run. Beeno can skip. Beeno can climb. (T guides Ss to read the verbs.) T ask Ss to stand up and read after and act the story to have a review.

T takes out four or more headgears of Beeno.

invites 1 group of four to act Beeno to go from 1 to The invited group act Beeno together with the teacher from planet 1 to planet 5. T guides the rest of the groups to say the verb. T asks Ss to practice in groups and then invite two groups to act.
