Aims: 

To learn different kinds of jobs and the relevant working places 

To learn to talk about your neighbourhood 

To learn the new words and useful expressions

Teaching procedures Step 1 Greeting Step 2 Lead-in 1.Watch a video 《新邻居》;

T : What’s the video talking about?

S: New neighbours. Step 3 Presentation Divide Ss. into two groups, then start the course in a competitive form, the student who raises his hand fastes to tell the correct

answers and he will get a candy. Activity 1. Present the new words

1.Would you like to have a guess?

Show a little part of a picyure and some tips about the picyure, then ask Ss. Picture 1 T: What is his job ? S: His job is postman. Picture 2 T : What does he do? S: He is an engineer. 2.Ask two students to play the roles of doctor and cook. One is with a stethoscope and one is with a pot spoon, then ask Ss. to tell what are they. Picture 3 T: What is his job? S: His job is winter. T: Where does he work? S: He works in a restaurant. Picture 4 T: What is their job? S: Their job is postman.

S: Postmen.. T: Where do they work? S: They work in a post office. Picture 5 T: What is he? S: He is a office worker. T: Where does he work? S: He works in an office / a company. Activity 2.Who is the fastest one? T: In this part, there are two rounds and some pictrues about jobs. When I ask “what is he/she?”,you just stand up and tell the answers, let’s see who is the fastest.Understand? Ss:Yes ! T: Ok, let’s go! What is he/she ? S: He is an office worker/ manager/ waiter/ policeman/ cook/ engineer/ teacher/ taxi driver /nurse/ doctor/ postman! Step 4 Part A : People and place Where can you find these people? Match them with the places. Write the correct letters in the boxes.Then choose a line of students to tell the answers one by one. T: What's his/her job?
