一、教学分析

1、教材分析

本课是冀教版五年级下册第二单元Lesson 12 A Visit to the Great Wall一课,是一节故事课。本课是在学习了Li Ming、Mrs. Li、Jenny and Danny一起游览北京的天安门广场、故宫、长城和到王府井大街购物这几篇课文的基础上学习的,有助于学生了解更多的有关长城的知识,帮助学生理解并掌握外出游玩和观赏时常用的英语表达方式。本课的内容接近学生生活实际,学生乐于了解,学习兴趣深厚,老师应结合本课重点内容,为学生创设游览和介绍长城这一情境,通过本课重点问题导入引导学生一起进入本课的学习。

2、学生分析

本课的学习对象是五年级的小学生,大部分学生能用一些简单的英语谈论一些简单的问题,而且本课是本单元的故事课,是在学生了解了北京一些著名的地方后开展的,是本单元前几课的一个总结和延伸。作为故事课,为了提高学的学习兴趣,教学过程中采用多媒体课件、图片呈现教学内容,创设情境,让学生在情境中掌握知识,并能积极运用所学英语进行表达和交流。

二、教学目标

(一)语言能力:

1、学生能听懂并理解这个故事。

2、学生能回答关于这个故事的问题。

3、学生能用自己的话复述故事。

(二)学习能力:锻炼阅读能力,理解能力。培养寻读、精读、略读、预测、利用语境猜测词义等阅读策略。

(三)思维品质:用关键词给学生建构一个思维的框架,让学生将黑板上无序的关键词形成思维导图,培养学生们思维的逻辑性,将思维引导出来,让其发散、延伸又彼此联系。

(四)文化品格:长城是中国古代人民智慧和辛劳的结晶,培养学生们的民族自豪感;如何文明旅游。

三、教学重难点

教学重点:学生能运用多种阅读策略理解故事内容,并能用正确的语音、语调朗读故事。

教学难点:学生能利用思维导图来复述故事。

四、教学设计过程

Ⅰ. class opening (1 min)

Ⅱ. New concepts

1、pre-reading (Lead in and free talk about the Great Wall.)(2mins) Today I will tell you a story about the Great Wall. Look, there are some pictures about the Great Wall. Have you ever been to the Great Wall? What do you know about the Great Wall? Now,Danny is visiting the

Great Wall. Can you guess what happened to Danny? We know, Danny is lost at the train station, Danny hurts his arm on Tian’anmen Sq uare and hurts his tail at the Palace Museum, right? Can you guess what happened to Danny at the Great Wall?

【设计意图】:激活背景,引出讨论的话题——长城,谈论关于长城的开放性的问题,试着让孩子们预测Danny在长城又发生了什么状况。2、while-reading

(1).看flash,回答两个主旨性的问题(4 mins)

Now, I will show you a flash, let’s see what happened on the Great Wall? There are two questions for you. Who can read the first question? The second one?

【设计意图】:看一遍flash,提出两个主旨性的问题,使孩子们的关注点在整体上,而不是只关注细节。

(2).看视频,图片环游,回答细节性问题(20 mins)
