Unit 10

Air 教学目标:

1.

通过Listen and say的小诗,帮助学生了解空气的特征和作用,并体会核心句型的用法。

2.在课堂活动中,调动学生的学习热情,激发学生英语学习的兴趣。在小组活动体验中,培养学生互助、合作学习的意识,提高学生运用语言能力。

3. 使学生了解空气的重要性,从而认识到保护地球是我们每个人的责任,我们应该如何从日常生活中的点滴小事做起,爱护我们的家园。

教学重点:

词汇:air,everywhere,alive,plant,keep…alive 句型::It keeps them high in the sky. 教学过程:

Pre-task preparations 1.

以猜谜语为引子,激发学生兴趣,然后播放Listen and say的视频,引入单元话题. T:Today we are going to start our lesson with a riddle.It is a very long one.Please listen carefully and guess what it is.What is it? Ss:Air T:Yes,it is air.Today we are going to talk about it.

2.

教师提出问题,让学生联系已学的知识说说对空气的认识。

T:What do you think of air? S1:Air has no colour. S2:Air has no smell. S3:Air is important to people. S4.. T:Yes.We can not see it,but we can feel it.Air is important to all living things. While-task procedures 1.

播放Listen and say第一段的录音,让学生模仿朗读。然后提问,在黑板上写下问题。

T:What is air? S1:It has no colour or shape. S2:It has no smell or taste. S3:We can not see it,but we can feel it. S4:It is everywhere. 根据学生的回答,选择核心信息板书。

2.

学生自由读第二段课文,然后回答问题,说说这段的主要内容。

T:The first part is about what air is.What about the second part? S1:It tells us why it is important.

T:Right.It shows us why air is important to all living things. 提取学生回答的核心内容,完成板书。

3.

引导学生阅读第三段,说说第三段的核心内容,尝试让学生自己找出核心词,完成板书。

T:All living things need air to keep them alive.What about other things?Do they need air?Why? 4.

学生两人一组做问答练习。

Post-task activities 引导学生根据板书自主说话,作为本节课的小结。

T:Can you talk about air?You can look at the key words on the blackboard. 5.Practices and homework 6.I want to enjoy some sentences with you.

When the sky blue again, the rivers become clean and the grass is always green, we'll live a healthier and happier life.
