Teaching contents: Pre-task preparations:
1. Look at some pictures of animals. 2. Talk about their favorite animals. Describe the animals. S: I like pandas./…
They’re lovely…. They are black and white. They like eating bamboos. Lead in the new words of animals. Put the words on the board. Practice these words. Listen to a song of animals. Sing the song with the music. Lead in the title. Practice the words.
While-task procedures: Look at more pictures of animals in danger. Talk about the bad things for animals. Talk about how to help the animals.
Listen to the passage Try to answer the questions Learn hundred, thousand Practice more. Read the passage, finish the questions. Pay attention to there were…
Make sentences: in the past, there were many pandas, but now there are pandas, but now there are only one thousand six hundred pandas in the wild. Put the form on the screen. Ask students practice in group. Then show their report.
Post-task activities: Do a survey. Four students a group. Find out their numbers and then write down. Talk about how to protect animals in danger.
