II.Important points:Learn to ask the price of all kinds of clothes. III.Difficult points:Grasp the differences between “How much is...?” and “How much are...?”

IV.Teaching process Step 1 Warming up and Revision 1.The teacher shows the students some pictures about different clothes.Let the students tell what it is one by one.（此环节可以老师随机挑选一组成员，也可让学生自由抢答）

2.Practice the dialogue in pairs. ①

—How much is this...? —It’s ... dollars. ②

—How much are these/those ...? —They’re ... dollars. Step 2 Grammar Focus 1.Show students a skirt and ask “How much is the skirt ?”.Let students answer “It’s ... dollars”. 2.Show students a pair of socks and ask “How much are these socks?”. Let students answer “They’re ... dollars”. 3.Explain the differences between the two dialogues.Let the students practice the sentences in the focus in pairs. Step 3 Practice(Work on 3a) 1.Let students make some sentences by using the words on the

right.Pay attention to the usage of singular forms and plural forms of the nouns. 2.Choose some pairs to read the dialogues in front of the class. 3.Let students talk about the changing rules. （1）the/this/that+表示颜色的形容词+单数可数名词，用how much is...提问，用It’s ...回答。

（2）the/these/those+表示颜色的形容词+复数可数名词，用how much are...提问，用They’re ...回答。

Step 4 Work on 3b,3c 1.Divide students into two groups:Group A and Group B.Group A ask and Group B answer.Then let the groups change. 2.Write the answers on the book. 3.Do 3c.（仍可采用A组问B组答，或学生代表一个人问一个人答） 板书设计
