Lesson 4 what did you do last Saturday? ( 1st period) 一、教学目标
在本节课结束时,学生将能够:用一般过去时谈论过去的一个周末的活动,用What问句的一般过去时询问他人的周末活动信息。
(一)知识与能力
1. 能正确使用下列词汇及表达:
see a film, make a cake, fly a kite和do my homework以及所用动词的过去式。
2. 学会用一般过去时询问他人的周末活动。
(二)过程与方法
采用小组合作探究和Role play的学习策略,利用教学图片、幻灯片等来展开课堂教学、通过pair work 和Role-play问答式的口语交际活动互相询问上个周末各自所做的事情;用chant展示听力内容,体会所学句型的语境;通过Do a survey.活动检测课堂所学句型,让同学们在真实的任务中体验运用所学句型。本课的教学法建议:语音教学——让学生能在朗读或对话中正确读出动词的过去式;词汇教学——采取图片、连线方式进行教学,让学生在操练中理解含义,并学会运用;口语教学——采取pair work, group work, role play,chant的形式让同学们在交际活动和小组活动中练习.
(三)情感态度与价值观
通过谈论他人的周末活动,增进合作和交流。培养学生热爱生活的态度。
二、教学重难点
(一)教学重点
1. 常见动词的过去式。
2. 一般过去时特殊疑问句的使用。
(二)教学难点
1. 不规则动词的过去式及读音。
2. 助动词did和do的准确使用。

五、Teaching procedures: Step one warming up
Have the students say hello to each other and sing a song-----Mary had a little lamb in chorus。
Step two revision Make the students talk about their weekend activities like this: A: What do you do on weekend? B: …
A: Did you … last Saturday/Sunday? B: No, I …
Have the students write down their own activities on a paper, the leaders stick their activities on the tree. Show the students some pictures on the screen in order to make the students recall more activities with matching phrases and pictures
(设计意图:让学生充分地用英语谈论平时的周末生活,既复习了一般现在时,为后面进一步学习做好铺垫,又复习了一些周末活动的短语,为学习动词的过去式做好充分地准备。这个活动既是复习,又是热身。) Step three presentation Use role play to present four pictures. The teacher introduces her activities on weekends to the students, use four pictures to introduce her friends’ activities last Saturday. Make the students repeat what the tape says individually. Make the students find out the irregular verbs in the simple past tense. Teach them four phrases in high and low voice.
【设计意图】学习周末活动表达,用高低音游戏的方式帮助学生准确读出动词过去式,为本节课的语言学习做好输入。
Use “ask and answer” to present the key structures. Ss: What did you do last Saturday? (Ask and answer from the whole class to a single pupil) T: I saw a film/…. 【设计意图】巩固输入词汇和短语,为后面的练习和拓展做好准

Step five practice and consolidation Make the students read the key structures follow the tape in chorus. And then have them ask and answer in group or in pair work. Help students to do a game----pass the parcel. 【设计意图】通过击鼓传花的游戏,让学生在游戏中学习语言,巩固所学句型和短语的语音,为输出做准备。
Have the students read the phrases according to the passing cards. Make the students play a game Show a chant to the class, make them read and catch the rhythm. Have the students follow the chant for several times, and try to read the chant follow the music. 【设计意图】训练学生在听和读的过程中提取关键信息。巩固练习所学句型和短语。让学生体会所学语言在真实语境中的使用情况,并为学生模仿语言和进一步拓展该话题提供了示范。巩固所学句型和短语,为输出做准备。
The students create their own chants group by group with the shown phrases on the tree. Three minutes later, have students present their chants group by group.
【设计意图】巩固练习所学句型和短语。让学生模仿运用所学语言在真实语境中的使用情况,巩固所学句型和短语,为输出做准备。
Do a survey. Give the students three minutes to talk about the
activities what they did last weekend, and make the leader report the result of the survey before the blackboard. Give a moral education to the class. 【设计意图】创设真实语言环境,运用所学一般过去时谈论周末活动,学生实践所学语言在真实语境中的使用。
Step six homework Have the students finish homework as requirements. 【设计意图】分层次的作业巩固所学目标语言:谈论周末活动,有利于不同层次的学生巩固目标语言的学习。
