StepI: Warm-up(2-3mins)

1. Greeting.

2. Show a picture of a present, ask students to guess. Then they can say the word”present” out.

StepII: Lead-in(5-6mins)

1. Point to the picture, ask students to guess who will get the present .students say

”the cat” . Then turn to the text book.

2. Listen and read.

3. Ask students to answer some questions. Then write down the key word: will, paper.

StepIII: Presentation (5/5/5mins)

1. Students recite the sentences of part1. Then tell them that Daming will make a present. Ask: why? Then lead to part2.

2. Listen for the first time and find out some phrases.

3. Check the answers.

4. Listen again paragraph by paragraph. Then students answer some questions.

5. Read the text and match the phrases with the Chinese meanings.

6. Write down the target sentences on the blackboard. Emphasis the future tense. Review “be going to”.

StepIV: Practice(2-3mins) 1.

Show the pictures of part3. Ask students to listen and repeat. 2.

Read it together. Write down the sentences, and tell students that they are used to ask for help.

StepV: Pair work(6-8mins) 1.

Show the pictures and give the phrases. Then ask students to read them together. 2.

Show the sentence pattern. Give an example. 3.

Three minutes for Students to make their own conversations.

Teacher walk around to give help. 4.

Students share their conversations.

StepVI: Summary(2mins) 1.

Words: students say them out. 2.

Sentences: students repeat.

Step VII: Emotional goals(5mins) 1.

Comment each group and give appropriate present to each group. Ask them how to play with the present. They can understand that they need to help each other to play with the present. 2.

Tell them to help each other. And show the sentences then students read them together.
