Unit 3 What is the weather like? 教学目标: 1、
知识与技能:
Using the simple past tense to talk about past states Using the simple past tense to talk about past activities Using adjectives to describe conditions Asking ‘wh-’ questions to find out place.
2、过程与方法:
Identify key words in an utterance by recognizing the stress. Produce simple phrases and sentences involving repetition or lists. Locate specific information in a short text in response to questions. 教学重点和难点: Using the simple past tense to talk about past states Using the simple past tense to talk about past activities Using adjectives to describe conditions Asking ‘wh-’ questions to find out place.
教学过程 Pre-task preparation: 一、Lead-in 1、师生一起做动作复习已学单词:hot warm cool cold 2、用自制的图片学习:用句型:What’s the weather like? It′s sunny./snowy/cloudy/rainy/windy 3、Game:“踩地雷”,目的是操练windy/snowy/cloudy/rainy/sunny.用此游戏带读单词,在跟读的过程中如果听到老师在单词前面或者后面有一个“Bomb”音,学生就不能跟读,如果有学生不小心跟读,就是踩到雷了,然后大家一起数one two three, bomb.向他砸过去。
4、用天气图引出学习单词:weather 二、Pre-task 1.
教师作天气预报。T:Today′s weather report. Today is hot, wet and cloudy. The temperature is 25℃.并把对应的图片及温度表呈现给学生看。学习新单词:temperature 0℃(zero degree centigrade) 2. Free talk: 教师指着rainy的图片说:What’s the weather like?当学生说:It’s rainy.时引导学生说:Yes. It’s rainy. It’s raining. We must put on the raincoat. And take an umbrella. (教师做出穿衣的动作和出示雨伞的图片),学习新词:
raincoat
umbrella 3. 操练上面新单词:Play a game.“大、小声”,分组比赛,老师读大声,学生就读小声;教师读小声,学生就读大声,如果哪一组中有学生读错了,那一组就不能得分。
4. 用天气图片与自制的温度计来操练句型。(1)What′s the weather like today? It’s warm and sunny. (2)
What′s the temperature now? It′s 27℃.出示两个别的城市的天气图,来替换操练句型。
5. Listen to the dialogue of the VCD. Then answer questions.第一次听初步感知课文,再听一次才回答问题。
(1) What′s the weather like in Guangzhou today? (2) What′s the temperature?
(3) Is today much colder than yesterday?
(4) Does Ben like today’s weather?
(5) Is it raining? (6) Where are they going to? (7)What’s the weather like in New Zealand? (8)What’s the temperature in New Zealand?
四、Development 1. 听课文录音。
2. 跟读课文。
3. 全班读—小组读—分角色读。
4. 找几个优秀的学生做简单的番禺的天气预报,教师指导。
5. Practice in groups。四人进行天气预报的练习。
五、Homework 1. 回家听课文录音。跟读。
2. 同桌互相做一次天气预报员,比一比谁做得好。
3. Copy the new words. 六、板书设计
