教材分析 :

本单元主要围绕“公共标志”这个话题展开各项活动,所涉及到的日常交际项目有介绍、询问、忠告和建议等,其中以询问公共标志含义及其应答为重点内容。

教学目标:

1.能听懂、会说、会读:Public signs。

2.能听懂、会说、会读日常交际用语:What does it mean? It means …. No littering/parking/smoking/…You can /can’t….

3.能听懂、会说、会读词汇:litter, go in, take …into, restaurant, someone, smoke, smell。

4.能听懂、会说、会读、会写词汇:sign, shopping centre, careful, mean, floor。

5.通过课文学习,帮助学生掌握“公共标识”的英语语言知识,发展听说读写技能,形成用英语与他人交流的能力,进一步促进学生思维能力的发展,提高学生的综合人文素养

教学过程:

一、导入

Show the picture of a shopping centre

T: Look! What’s this?

S: It’s a shopping centre.

T: Who are in the shopping centre?

S: Mike, Helen and Tim.

二、看卡通,整体感知课文

T: What topic are they talking about? Let’s watch the cartoon and find the answer.

T:Answer my question, please. What topic are they talking about? S:They’re talking about signs.

T: Yes, today we’ll learn Unit 5 Signs (板书)

三、句型操练

1、T: What signs do you know? You’ve previewed them.

(put the signs cards on the blackboard)

T: Let’s read together.

2、T:(show a sign)What sign is this?

S: No parking.

T:Can you park the car here?

S: No, we can’t.

T:What does it mean?

S: It means we can’t park the car here.

T: Where can we see this sign?

S: In the street.

3、T: Now talk about other signs with your group members. Ask and answer. 小组汇报

四、自主提问

1、T:Just now, we talked about the signs. Mike, Helen and Tim , they saw some signs, too. Do you have any questions or any new words about the story? Take out the preview paper, ask the questions in your groups, choose the valuable questions, write them down on the paper. If you have some new

words, you can write them down on the blackboard.(帮助学生准备好纸及水笔,在学生讨论的过程中,我下去收集有价值的问题,贴在黑板上)

T: Now, read after the tape, underline the answers of these questions. T:check your answers in your group, ask and answer with your group members. 六、读课文

七、表演对话

T: OK, well done. Now, it’s showtime . Each group can choose, read in roles or act out the story. Prepare for it, OK ? Go.

七、完善思维导图,进行复述课文

T: Wonderful, you did really good job.. Now , talk about your mind map in your group ,choose the best one , try to supplement it and then retell the text.

八、总结

T: Today, we leant the signs, new words, ask the questions about the story and answer them, at last you can use the mind map to retell the story, good job, so it’s the first lesson of Unit 5 signs. In the public places , we must follow the signs, try to be a good child. Ok . That’s all about today. Homework
