设计理念：1.根据学生的求知的心理特征和实际情况，选择交际式的英语教学策略，通过直观的演示，讲解新知，为学生提供自主学习以及充分发现和自我发展的空间，培养学生听说读写的能力，为进一步学习课文打下基础。 2.本节课把英语教学与情感教育有机地结合起来，促进学生互相学习，倡导小组合作，体验集体荣誉感；注重评价学生的综合语言运用能力；同时初步树立学生保护大自然的环保意识。

3.通过本节课教学，使学生了解空气的特征以及对人类的作用，体现学科的整合性，并渐渐感知周围空气的状况，为下文的空气污染的学习做以简单的预设。

教材分析：本节课是第四模块The natural world 的第一单元Air的第一课时，第四模块的主题是自然界，而空气又是人类赖以生存的基本条件，是最重要的因素。Air 这节课的主题，从空气的特征入手，重点谈论了空气的物理特征，为以后物理学的学习打基础，然后谈到了空气的重要性以及日常生活中运用空气的实践到最后的保护环境，完整地再现了“话题—功能—结构—任务”的编写模式，语境真实、趣味性强，让学生在“用英语表达情感”的过程中感知、实践和体验英语学习的乐趣，并利用小组合作学习的方式，提高学生综合运用语言知识的技能。

学情分析：六年级学生对于空气有了初步的认识，能说出空气的特征，并能用简单的英语加以描述，因此，在教学过程中，一方面根据学生的兴趣，适时地呈现新单词，完成基本的教学任务，另一方面，根据学生的实际情况，灵活调整深度，以便于每个学生都能学有所获。最后在拓展中引入空气污染的话题，增添学习兴趣的同时拓宽学生的知识面，通过对话理解以及语言输出，不断扩大学生的单词量。



教学目标：

1．

知识目标：

1）掌握四会单词：air, everywhere, alive, 并熟练使用短语look at, in the sky，keep…alive.

2) 能用It keeps them high in the sky. 来描述空气的作用。

3）熟读课文，并使学生能写出空气的特征的小练笔。

2．能力目标：

1）学生能熟练掌握所学的单词和短语，并了解宾语补足语。

2）学生能完成Listen and say的操练，并用英语描述空气的特征。

3）学生能运用所学的知识，说一说造成空气污染的原因及解决的方法。

3．情感目标：

1）

引导学生充分认识到空气的重要性，为保护空气不受污染多做努力。

2）

培养学生学习英语的兴趣，并能用简单的英语对空气的特征加以描述，通过小组活动，体验合作学习的乐趣，提高学生综合运用语言的能力。

3）

培养学生热爱大自然，保护环境的高尚品格。



教学准备：

教学重点：

1）掌握四会单词及短语：air, everywhere, alive, look at, in the sky，keep…alive.

2) 能用It keeps them high in the sky. 来描述空气的作用。



教学难点：

用一般现在时描述空气的作用，体会宾语补足语的句子结构。

教学过程：

（一）热身复习

文化感知 T: Let’s begin our class. Stand up, please. Hello, boys and girls.

Ss: Hello, Miss Wang.

T: Sit down, please. Boys and girls. Let’s watch a video together.（ppt.）(This video is about the parachute, some people are enjoying this activities). Do you like this kind of sport? Why?

S1: Yes. Because it is interesting. S2: No. Because it is horrible. S3: Yes. Because it is amazing. T: OK. Why can they fly in the sky?

Ss: Discussing this question in your groups

T: Showing the basic sentence pattern on the ppt. Because there is…

Ss: Because there is wind/air.

T: Yes! You are so clever.

Wind comes from air. Today we are going to talk about the air. (Write the title Air on the blackboard)

设计意图: 通过观看降落伞的视频，耳听英语，让学生猜测降落伞能在空中飞翔的原理，是空气帮助他们完成了飞行的任务，去激发学生探索空气的兴趣，引出主题，为讲解空气的作用做铺垫和准备。

（二）话题推进

学习新知

Words study: T: What is the air like?

Asking them to talk about this question in their groups. Ss: Discussing it in your groups. (ppt. What is air like? It has…)

S1: It has no colour. S2: It has no smell. S3: It has no shape. S4: It has no taste. T: Great! You are all right.

Write no colour, no smell, no shape no taste on the blackboard. T: Where can you find air?

Doing the action of blowing the hands.

Trying to ask them to answer this question like this. We can find in…

S1: We can find it in the classroom. S2: We can find it in the park. S3: We can find it in the street. S4: We can find it at home.

T: Very good. You are all right.

It is around us.(ppt.) It is here and there, it is everywhere. T: Blackboard work everywhere. Asking them to follow you to read once. It is everywhere and it is important to us. Look at these pictures and talk about it in your groups. T: Discuss in your groups Animals need air to____

Plants need air to_______ People need air to______ It is important to us. We all need air to keep us alive

T: Showing the two pictures of two fish to the students, one is swimming , the other is on the plate, it is cooked.

Look, this fish is alive ( ppt.)

Ss: Reading out the new word alive. You can get the meaning of this word from these two pictures..

T: We all need it. So the air is important. Let’s look at these things, the balloon, the plane, the kite, the birds and the parachute, what keeps them high in the sky？

Ss: Discussing this question in their groups.

Ss: Reading out the sentences together. Dialogue study: T: You are so great.（watching the ppt. of the dialogue.）Asking them to follow to read.

Then asking them to open their books , reading out the dialogue for two times.

Ss: Reading out the dialogue among the groups first, then read it before the class. T: Can you fill the blanks according to the dialogue? Come on ! Ss: Following to read then writing the answers on your paper, checking them on the ppt. together.

Ss: Reading out the dialogue on the ppt. then write the answer on your paper, we check the answer together. T: You are so great. 设计意图: 由学生感兴趣的话题入手，引入新知，循序渐进，环环相扣，发散学生的思维，利用ppt.辅助教学，逐步提升学生的听、说和读的能力，培养学生的驾驭课文的能力。

（三）语用实践

巩固新知

T: In order to understand air more, let’s read another passage.

Ss: Reading out the passage and trying to answer these questions according to the passage. Discussing the answers in your groups first, then report.

T: Showing a composition to the students, asking them to finish reading this part, then doing the exercises according to the passage.(ppt.) Ss: Doing the group works, finishing the tasks. Air is all around us. It is around us as we walk and play. When we sit down, it is around us. When we go to bed, air is also around us. We live in air. We can live without food or water for as few days, but we can not live for more than a few minutes without air.

When we are working or running, we need more air. When we are asleep, we need less air. We live in air, but we cannot see it. We can only feel it. We can feel it when it is moving. Moving air is called wind. How can we make air move? Here is one way. Hold an open book in front of your face, and then close it quickly. What can you feel? What you feel is air. (T) 1. We cannot live without air. (F) 2. When we are asleep, we need no air. (F) 3.We can both see and feel air. (T) 4.Wind is moving air. (T) 5.We can make air move by closing an open book quickly T: You had better draw the line under the corresponding the sentences of your answers. Directing them to do the exercises. Ss: Explaining the reason why you choose T or F.

设计意图: 归纳梳理全文，巩固新知，通过学生的小习作，提升学生的语言归纳和综合运用能力，通过相关的小阅读，纵观文章的全局，不断地提升学生的阅读能力。

（四）综合拓展

激活语言

T: Everyone knows the air is important in our daily life. Why is the air important? (ppt.) asking the students to talk about this question in their groups, then choosing one

student to report. S1: Because we need air to breathe. S2: Because we need air to grow plants. S3: Because we need air to keep the birds fly in the sky. S4: Because we need air to keep the plane fly in the sky. T: You are so great. Let’s look at the other pictures. Some pictures are about the air pollution, asking the students to talk about these pictures, then trying to answer what we should do when we face this kind of circumstance Ss: Watching the ppt. Using this sentence pattern to answer these questions.

We should plant more trees.

We should walk more often.

We should stop the smoke from the factories.

We should use fewer cars.

We should not cut down the trees.

We should not put the dirty water into the river. T: Great. You have already supplied more information about the air pollution. And you also know the uses of the air. The air is around us. It is important to everyone. Without air, we couldn’t live. Without air, there would be no sound because sound travels through air. Without air, there would be no fire. Without air, there would be no wind or clouds. In one word, we can’t live without air. So we should keep the air clean.

设计意图: 以语篇教学为主要教学目的，通过阅读与空气相关的文章，并在文中加入了下一节将要讲解的生词，为下节课铺垫一下，进一步加深对文章的理解，提升学生的英语阅读能力。

（五）总结评价

作业夯实 1. Write a composition about the air in English. 2. Collect information about the air pollution after class.

设计意图: 以本课四会单词为主，描写空气的特征和作用，稍有拓展，突出语篇教学的实用性,对于空气污染信息的搜索，能更好地为下一节课打下基础。


