1、结合话题、丰富语境

本单元的教材内容是6A Module 2 Unit 5 Animals in danger。以濒临动物资料的形式呈现了pandas, South China tigers和blue whales的语篇

，介绍了这几种动物以前的数量及现在的数量，帮助学生学习核心句型：In the past, there were many pandas.结合话题，引导学生在阅读中完成三种动物数量对比表，让学生结合板书中的表格操练句型，在对比中理解一般现在时和一般过去时的用法区别。展示濒危动物的生存环境和情况，丰满了教材提供的语境。

2、把握重点，层层推进

本单元重点是在语境中让学生初步理解、尝试运用核心词汇，并通过语境的推进带动词、句的学习，让学生在情境中学生四会掌握thousand, hundred wild, 和听懂、会说In the past, South China tiger, blue whale, in danger。本单元的核心句型是There were only about…描述濒危动物数量。结合文本语境，板书中的表格操练句型，在对比中理解一般现在时和一般过去时的用法区别。通过初步整体感知-----文本阅读-----听力理解-----图表填空-----图表问答相关内容达成教学目标。

3、以语言学习渗透文化、情感体验

情感态度和文化意识是英语新课标中两个重要的组成部分，本单元在训练学生语言知识和语言技能的同时，还需注重对学生文化意识的培养和情感的熏陶。通过本单元的学习，让学生了解濒危动物的生存情况，让学生体会人类和动物建立良好的关系，给出保护好动物的建议。

1、能听说读写核心词汇。

2、学生能初步理解并尝试运用核心句型描述某种动物现在和过去的数量。

3、培养学生阅读技能。

教学难点：

1、能根据文本的内容和问题，提炼出关键信息。

2、用In the past, there were …描述某样东西过去的数量。

教学过程：

Procedures Pre-task preparation / Warming-up Enjoy the movie （通过观看视频感受Animals are in danger.）

While-task procedure I. I. Name “three kinds of wild animals”

1.Watch the video of animals in danger. 引出本课主题

2.Watch the video of text and find out the animals in it. 初步整体感知课文，根据问题找到关键词。

3.Watch the video and learn the word “whale”. 形象感知“whale”

II. Contrast the numbers of pandas, South China tigers and blue whale “in the past” to “now”

1. Read the 1st paragraph with the questions. (1) How many … were there in the past? (2) How many … are there in the wild now? 2. Learn the words: thousand, hundred 3. Read the 2nd and 3rd paragraph individually and talk about the numbers of South China Tiger and blue whales in the past or now with partners.

4. Complete the table. 有效提问，给出阅读策略，训练学生自读文本获取关键信息的能力。通过听一听来训练学生对于知识的掌握和段的理解。通过文本语境的带动词、句的学习、巩固。由扶到放，在表格的辅助下训练学生阅读能力和思维能力。
