Read a story,复习巩固相关语言知识,培养学生的阅读技能,帮助学生正视自己的独特之处。

2.通过单元任务,帮助学生巩固和综合运用本单元所学的知识和技能,描述自己最喜欢的节日。

教学重难点:

词汇学习:laugh at 日常用语:Is that you? 教学过程:

Pre-task preparations 1.和学生做“快速反应”游戏。出示各个西方节日的图片,学生马上说出对应的名称。

2.播放Sing a song的视频或录音,学生跟着录音唱歌,活跃课堂气氛。

While-task procedures 1.用多媒体或教学挂图出示Read a story的图片1,让学生阅读文字,然后回答问题。

1)What did Rudolf’s nose look like?(It was big and red.) 2)Did Rudolf like his nose? Why? (No,he didn’t. Because his friends laughed at him.) 3)What did Rudolf’s friends say about his nose?(They said his nose was funny.) 然后让学生阅读第二至第五段,填空完成下面的段落。

It was Christmas Eve. Father Christmas was on his way to give presents to the children.Rudolf and his friends helped Father Christmas . The weather was bad. Rudolf’s nose was bright. He took Father Christmas to the children. 出示图片6,让学生猜猜Rudolf的朋友们在说什么以及Rudolf会说什么。让学生读课文,看看谁的猜测更接近故事原文。然后把学生分成两大组,分别模仿Rudolf和他的朋友们,大声对话。

S1: You have a great nose, Rudolf. S2: Thank you .I like my nose.

2.播放故事视频或音频,让学生观看动画或听录音,提出自己不懂的句子或单词,教师给予讲解。让学生完成Read a story的后续练习,然后全班核对答案。

3.通过引导性问题和学生讨论故事蕴含的道理。最后的结论可以让学生用中文表达。

T: Did Rudolf like this nose at the end of the story? S1: Yes, he did. T: Why? S2: Because his friends said, “You have a great nose.”

T: Why did his friends say to? S3: Because his nose helped Father Christmas find his way in bad weather. T: So you see, Rudolf did not like his nose at first because his nose was different, and his friends laughed at him. He liked his nose was useful, and his friends praised him for it. Do you learn anything from the story? S4:I think we are all different from others. We should love ourselves for the difference, no matter how others may think of us. 4.把学生分成五人小组,分配角色,分角色朗读课本剧,为表演做准备。

Post-task activities 1.学生分组演出课本剧,全体学生评出最佳表演奖、最佳演员以及最佳语音奖。

2.在前一课时留作业,让学生完成《练习册》Task第一部分的Think and write的表格。完成此作业可能需要家长的帮助,查阅农历日历以及参考网上信息。本课时让学生在教室内自由走动,参考Ask and answer中的提示问题和同学交流信息。然后学生独立完成最后的Think and write的写作任务。

Homework:

1.尝试复述故事。

2.完成短文填空。
