Train the students reading abilities to understand the content of text in detail. 2.

Train the students’ abilities to cooperate with others. 三：Teaching Aids: Blackboard, computer, chalk, OHP 四：Types of Lesson: reading 五：Teaching Procedures: Part 1. Pre-reading Step 1 .Lead in In this part, the teacher shows a video to begin this class, and let students think about what happened in the film. It aims to arouse their interest and let them know the content of this class clearly. Part 2. While-reading Step 1. Fast reading In this part, the teacher helps students to get the outline of this narration, and gives the main idea of each part. It aims to train their ability of fast reading (grasp the key words or phrases). Step 2. Careful reading In this part, the teacher shows different ways to students, let them fully understand the important details of this text. Like fill out a form in part 1, fill in the blanks in part 2, answer questions in part 3. It aims to train their ability of reading and strengthen their cooperation.

Part 3: Post –reading Step 1 .Discussion In this part, the teacher asks students to share their ideas what they can learn from this class(from different views) and them let them discuss with their partners how to protect themselves during an earthquake? Step 2. Homework Write down more sentences of how to protect yourself during an earthquake.
