Enable students to know some background information of the Civil Rights Movement and write a letter about it. Encourage students to learn from the blacks and work hard to achieve their dreams. task-based learning, listening and writing

This unit mainly talks about the unfair system of racial discrimination existing in American in the middle of last century. The first reading passage shows us the blacks’

great efforts to fight against it and the achievement they made. It also inspires students to work hard to realize their dreams.

The students know a little about the Montgomery Bus Boycott before reading. But after learning the text, most of them can give a brief introduction to it. Not all the students can finish writing within limited time.
