U7 Welcome 教学目标：

To learn some new words such as: ability, Super dog, fly, careful, collect, elderly. To revise vocabulary about helping people in the community.

To generate ideas about ways to care for and help others. 教学重难点：

How to stimulate the students how to care about others and help. (Importance)

To talk about what people can do. (Difficulty) 教学步骤;

Step 1 Greetings &Warming up Play a game &Watch a video What can they do?

Talk to students about “can”, “have the ability to do” and “be able to”.

Step 2 Presentation & Comic strip First get some information from the pictures and then ask questions: 1. What does Eddie want to do? 2. Can dogs fly? 3. What happened to Eddie? 4. What do you think of Eddie? Listen to the tape

Ask students to think about the consequences of their daily actions Guide students to understand what they can do and can’t do.

Read and act. Step 3 Learning “Helping Hands Club”

Free talk: How to be a helpful person? Present pictures about Daniel and his friends. Do you often help the old or the blind cross the road? Why should we plant more trees? Give seats to others? Donate money to the Project Hope

Pick up rubbish . Protect our environment? Step4 Practise “Helping Hands Club”

Listen to the dialogue and answer the questions. Step 5 Consolidation. Make a leaflet Talk about what they can do in Helping Hands Club. Encourage several volunteers to write a leaflet about what they can do to help Hope Project.

Step 6 Homework: Finish the exercises in Exercise Book
