教学设计说明

学生情况分析:

五年级学生已基本形成较好的英语学习习惯,绝大多数的学生掌握并积累了一定的词汇、句型,以及了解一些常见的语法知识,具备了基本的英语听、说、读、写技能。

一部分学生对英语有着浓厚的学习兴趣,也掌握了学习英语的方法,但仍有些学生在英语学习上由于遇到各种阻力,减弱了他们对学习英语的兴趣。

在学习本单元之前,学生涉猎过相关的描述人物的话题,能用简单的语言描述身边的人,简单谈论人物的性格特点,这为本单元的学习奠定了一定的学习基础。

单元教学任务分析:

主题:What’s he like?

新版PEP五年级英语Unit 1What’s he like? , 通过学习四会单词old, young, funny, kind, strict, polite, hard-working, helpful, clever, shy,主要句型:What’s he/she like? She’s/He’s….和一般疑问句Is he/she…?以及如何作答, 学会用特殊疑问句询问人物特点,用肯定句描述人物的体貌、性格特征和品质,使用一般疑问句询问人物的特点及其回答。本单元不仅对新旧知识进行有机整合,而且对学生的语言表达能力也提出了更高的要求。

各学习项目分析

A Let’s learn: 核心词汇学习板块。主要进行词汇的学习,能够听说读写:old, young, funny, kind, strict等有关人物特征的单词。

B Let’s learn:核心词汇学习板块。主要进行词汇的学习,能够听说读写polite, helpful, shy, clever, hard-working五个有关人物性格、品质特征的单词。

A Let’s try. / Let’s talk. : 核心句型学习板块。主要进行句型的学习,重点是用一般疑问句问答人物的性格(如:Is he young/…? Yes, he is. / No, he isn’t.

B Let’s try. / L et’s talk. : 核心句型学习板块。主要进行句型的学习,重点是能够在情境中运用特殊疑问句:What’s she like? She’s kind./…的问答。

Read and write: 语言活动与练习板块。能够在图片的帮助下读懂吴一凡的日记,完成选择描述机器人特征单词的活动。

Let’s spell: 语音学习板块。学习并掌握-y在单词中的发音规则,能跟着录音说唱歌

谣,强化记忆-y的发音规则。

Story time: 听说故事。能够理解故事内容,朗读故事,能够恰当运用故事中的语言。知识要点介绍

1. 能学习和掌握如下词汇:old, young, funny, kind, strict, polite, hard-working, helpful, clever, shy等,做到音、形、义的统一。

2. 能熟练运用如下内容进行问答,描述人物的体貌,性格特征和品质。如:What’s he/she like? She’s/He’s…

3. 能学习并掌握辅音字母-y在单词中的发音规则,能够跟着录音说唱歌谣,强化记忆-y的发音规则。

1. 能初步学习与操练有关人物特征的词汇,如:young, old, kind, strict, funny。

2. 能合理运用Is he (she) young/…?来询问人物的性格。

3. 能观察不同人物的不同性格。

第1课时文本:A Let’s learn

Topic: Is he(she) young? (1)

Wu Yifan and Oliver are classmates. Oliver is new in class. They are talking about their teachers.

Zhang Peng: Hi,I'm Zhang Peng. What’s your name?

Oliver: My name is Oliver.

Zhang Peng: Look at the photos. They are my teachers.

Oliver: Who’s your art teacher?

Zhang Peng: Mr Jones.

Oliver: Is he young?

Zhang Peng: Yes, he is.

Oliver: Do you like him?

Zhang Peng: Yes, we do. He’s a good teacher.

Oliver: Who’s your English teacher?

Zhang Peng: Miss White.

Oliver: Is she strict?

Zhang Peng: No, she isn’t. She is kind.

1. 巩固操练第一课时的核心词汇。

2. 初步感知Who’s your art/…teacher?这个句型结构,认识科任老师。

3. 恰当地运用Is he(she) young/…?询问科任老师的性格。

Oliver and Wu Yifan aren classmates. They are talking about their teachers.

Oliver: No, I don’t. Who is he?

Wu Yifan: He’s our music teacher.

Oliver: Is he young?

Wu Yifan: No, he isn’t. He’s old.

Oliver: Great! I like funny teachers.

第3课时教学目标:

1. 能在语境中熟练地运用核心词汇和相关句型,如:hard-working, polite, helpful, shy, clever,Is he(she) clever/…?

2. 能在语境中操练Wha t’s ...like? He (She) is hard-working/....来询问人物性格,以及作出合理的表述。

3. 初步运用两个句型Is he(she) clever/…? What’s Wu Yifan/...like?来询问人物性格和品质特征。

Oliver: Yes, I do. He’s very clever. He has many ideas.

Amy: Do you know Sarah?

Oliver: No, I don’t. What’s she like?

Amy: She is helpful. Look! She is helping her young brother.

Oliver: Amy, what’s Chen Jie like?

Amy: She’s polite. She likes to say “Please” and “Thank you!”.

第4课时教学目标:

1. 能用will be来描述谁将是我们的科任老师。

2. 能运用sometimes来形容某人某时的性格特征。

3. 能熟练掌握已学的形容词并运用在两个句型Is he(she) clever/…? What’s Wu

Yifan/...like?来询问人物性格和品质特征。

第6课时教学目标:

1.通过教室外陈洁与John谈论新老师和教室内Miss White向新同学介绍班级同学两个场景,加深巩固本单元的核心词汇和核心句型;如:quiet,hard-working, strict, clever, polite,kind…What’s she/he like? She/He’s kind/....Is she strict/...? Yes, she is. / sometimes.能在情景中运用核心词汇和核心句型进行对话。

2.通过阅读趣味故事,复习巩固本单元所学语言,增加学生语言的输入;能理解故事内容,朗读故事;尝试故事的表演。

(一)In the classroom

Miss White: This is Amy. She’s quiet. She’s very hard-working.

That is Wu Yifan. He’s very clever. He’s polite, too.

Oliver: Hello, My name is Oliver.

Amy: Hi.

Wu Yifan: Hello.

Outside the classroom

Chen Jie: Ms Wang will be our new Chinese teacher.

John: What’s she like?

Chen Jie: She’s very kind.

John: Is she strict?

Chen Jie: Yes, sometimes.

John: What about our classmates?

Chen Jie: Let’s go and see.

Zip: We have a new PE teacher. He’s a good football player.

Zoom: Cool!

(二)What’s the PE teacher like?

Zip: Our new PE teacher will come today.

Zoom:Really? What’s he like?

Zip: I only know he’s a good football player.

Zoom: He must be tall and strong.

Zip: Shoot!

Zoom: Oh, no! I missed!

Rabbit: Can I join you?

Zoom: You are very thin and so short. Can you play football? Rabbit: Sure. Let me show you. Ten to three! We win. Zoom: You’re great!

Dog: Our new PE teacher is a great player, too.

Rabbit: I am your new PE teacher.
