Review the words and expressions on page 5.Pay much more attention to exercise 2,reading and understanding the whole passage.(PPT)

Ask students to read and understand the sentences on page 5,trying to find the difference between direct speech and indirect speech, with the teacher giving some explanation on blackboard.

Intention (homework): to experience the differences between direct speech and indirect speech. （4） Review the rules of the grammar by asking some students,and the teachers write them on the blackboard. （5） Practice in class. Ask students to read and understand the first four sentences on page 5,and then change them into indirect speech,then write them in their exercise books. (6) Check the answers and give some explanations if necessary.(PPT) (7) Homework: Change the rest four sentences into indirect speech.
