How to teach students to use several kinds of sentences alternatively. Teaching methods Introduction, warming up, practice Teaching aid Multi-media Teaching procedures Step I.Lead-in and Introduction 1.Introduce the basic demand of writing. Half opening: means usually 5 points, including 3 points given by setter and 2 points to be given freely by writer. The number of words: usually about 100 words, means it consists of about 10 sentences which have 8-10 words on average. 2.Add the linking words to make writing better. (1),and, but, or, so, for (2),first(ly), then, next, at last (3)however, thus, therefore, for example, such as, what’s more, later, as a result, finally, in my opinion, in summary Step II.Warming up Make sentences using several basic sentence structures. 1.It gets dark. She looks/seems unhappy.
