Teaching material：

The text is about learning part of the vocabulary and revision about the grammar--past participle. Through learning, students can develop their abilities of using the important words and grammar in this unit.

The analysis of the students: The grade 2 students are capable enough to learn most of the vocabulary in this unit and for the grammar, they need more instructions and exercises.

Teaching objectives: 1. Language Focus (1) Students will be able to review the new words properly in given situations. (2) Revision about grammar--past participle. 2. Language Skills Students will be able to apply their vocabulary into use and grasp the grammar learning. 3. Learning Strategies Students will

(1)be able to learn how to use part of the important vocabulary. (2)be encouraged in groups to put the grammar into practice. 4. Affection Students will be put into groups and learn to discuss and solve the problems by themselves. 5. Culture Students will be able to understand more about the usage of the words in different situations and know how to use the past participle in composition.

Through practice, task-based exercises, help the students know how to use some of the vocabulary in this unit and the past participle. Difficult Point:

Teaching Procedure：

Step 1.

Lead in with some questions like

Which picture does the sentence describe? Meanwhile, show some pictures on the 10 slides. The little policeman blew his whistle to stop us.

1. Being built now, the bridge can’t get through.

2. Having been instructed, the students knew how to do the research. Having been discussed many times, the problems were settled at last.

Story

With past participle, I prepared a story for the class. Students read and find the sentences with past participle.

The other day Peter and Tom were talking in class. When found by Mr. Li, they began to pretend to study. If not punished, they would never learn their lessons. Having been reduced（减）two points, they were very disappointed. Encouraged by Monitor Chen, they decided to get their points back. On their way home, they saw an old man, followed by a thief. So they tried to help to catch the thief. Scared of being caught, the thief ran away. Moved by their brave behavior, the old man wrote a thank-you letter to Experimental High School. Praised by the school, Peter and Tom each got 10 points back.
