Knowledge aims 1.Be able to understand the main idea of the story and read the text with the correct pronunciation and intonation. 2.Be able to say the words of color: red,yellow,green,black,blue 3.Be able to use the sentence pattern “It’s+color” in the specific situation. Emotion aims 1.Get the Ss to take an active part in the class activities

and encourage them to imitate and express actively in order to expeicence the fun of English learning. 2.Train the though of team work! 3.Arouse the interest of exploring the nature by knowing the story of chameleon. Learning strategy aims Lead the students to pay attention to listening,watching,thinking carefully and use the learned English to express actively. Teaching important points 1.the word of colors: red, yellow, blue, green, black.

Step1 Warm-up Sing the song: Please stand up. Step2 Greeting Greet the students then introduce a new friend ---chameleon (just they saw him ) to them . At the same time show the word card :chameleon. Then greet the students with funny voice by using the chameleon doll. Then greet two individual students. For example: T: Good morning .I’m a chameleon .My name is Huahua. What’s your name ? S1: My name is …

T: Hello,…,

S1 : Hello,Huahua. T : Goodbye,…

S1 : Goodbye,Huahua.

Step 3 Lead in

T: I’m a chameleon . I can change colors.But I need a magica word : Balabala , chameleoen

chameleon. Then practice the word with the students together. Step 4 Presentation Change different colors to teach the new words: red , yellow, green, blue, black. Paste the word cards on the blackboard. The cards make a shape of a beautiful flower. Then practice the new words in different ways. Such as one by one,boys and girls ,groups,etc. Then get the students to show the color of the objects that they can see in the classroom. Such as blackboard--black , desk--yellow, shoe--blue,etc. Step 5 Practice Play a game. Put five different color balls in a bag.Get two students to take part in the game.One chooses the ball,the other one guesses without looking like this: Red ? Blue ? Black ? The other students say “Yes”

or “No”.But the student only has three times to guess. If he/she is right ,he can get one star for their team. Step6 Presentation Show bottles with water When I shake it it will have color. Do it as an example. Here the

teacher will act as a magician with a funny magic hat. Get the students to say the magic words “magical,magical,magical” with me together loudly.

The first bottle : Maybe the water is red. I will say It’s red. And write the sentence on the blackboard. The second bottle: Before I shake it I will ask the students to guess what color it is .Give them as many chances as possible.And write the sentence on the blackboard. Then give the chances to a student to act as a magician. Step 7 Text 1.Show the text to the students by using PPT. First get the students to go through the first conversations between the chameleon and the panda. Then lead the student to finish the sentence only by the picture. Then go through the whole story. 2.Get the students to work in small groups to tell the story as a role of the panda.Then get some students to tell the story in front of the class. Of course they can get a wonderful present. Step 8 Listening

Listen to the music“ national anthem” and guess the color. Encourage the students to imagine actively.Maybe they say “red”because of the red flag, “yellow” because of the five stars on the flag .Then show the MV, at the same time get the students to feel

“I’m proud. I’m a Chinese.”

Then another piece of music. Here’s spring”. Then show the students the picture of spring,Saying :Look! It’s the picture of spring. Wow,it’s very beautiful. Get the student to describe it in small groups like this: It’s red/green/yellow... Then get one to describe it in front of the class. Step 9 Homework

Draw your favorite picture and color it. Then say it to your family. Blackboard design:
