Step1

Greeting: good morning, boys and girls

Good morning. Mr.….

Review the words of the last unit:

Show the pictures, all the pupils read the words together.

Show the different colors of the apple; let all the pupils speak the sentence” it’s….red, blue...”

Step2

Play a video of the song: happy birthday! If the pupils could sing ,let then sing after the video. Later show the words: happy, birthday. Then practice the words ,read after the teacher for several times Play the video

of the text. In this video, some cartoon figures are giving a birthday blessing to 3 kids, then question the pupils “who’s birthday?”

Step 3

Show other important words by presenting different pictures.

Read the words after the teacher for several times, and then choose some single pupils to stand up and read the words (during showing the new words, teacher use different ways to practice the words: like boys read, or girls read, ask some single pupils to read)

Choose some pupils to come to the platform to teach the rest pupils. Later let all the pupils speak the words after her or him, at this time, teacher walks around the classroom to watch their performances. At last she or he will get a reward for teaching the words. Next choose some other active boys or girls to join in this activity.

Guess the words: have a glimpse of the picture and guess the right words together.

Show some pictures quickly and let all the pupils to guess the right words. Do this kind of activity for several times.

Show the new sentence pattern: Here’s and practice it, before showing the new sentence, we review the sentence pattern: “It’s…” with the words we learn today. And we’ll make a contrast of this two sentence pattern. After practicing the new sentence pattern, teacher will show the text, and let pupils read the text using their fingers point to the text. Read the text after the teacher and teacher will gives pupils a explaining of the some

difficult points. At last, all the pupils watch a interesting cartoon video and think about two simple questions: Whose birthday? How old is Sam?
