Greet class warmly.

Step II

Lead-in Free talk about going out. Then divide five groups and name them with “park, zoo, school, countryside, supermarket”

(Guide Ss to learn “countryside” and “farmer”)

T: You are so clever. Boys and girls, what’s the weather like today?

Ss: It’s sunny.

T: Yes. It’s sunny and warm. Do you want to go out and play?

Ss: Yes.

T: I want to go out, too. But we can’t go out and play. So today I name your groups as five places.

T: No.1

What’s this?

Ss: Park.

T: Group 2, you are very fast. You are “park group”.(Divide “zoo”, “school”, “supermarket” as this one.)

T: Here is another place. In this place, you will see “chickens”

and “pigs”.(Show the covered pictures of “chickens” and “pigs” ).

Ss: ...

T: Yes. It’s a farmer. Follow me: farmer

farmer. (Use the picture of farmer to teach the word and stick the picture on the board.)

(Guide Ss to practice reading the word in five groups.)

Presentation

1.

Use a picture of calendar to guide Ss to learn “weekend”. Then practice reading the word by train game.

T: Clever children, look at this picture. What are they? They are Saturday and...

Ss: Sunday.

T: We call them “weekend”. Follow me: weekend

Ss: Go go go.

Then guide Ss to talk about weekend plan with “I will...”.

T: Weekend is coming. What will you do this weekend? I will....

S1: I will play the piano. (Pick some students to answer.) 3.

Play a game: Pass group’s plan. Have Ss pass the plan in groups. The first should come to the front, take the plan and remember it. Then have groups start passing. The last one gets the plan should come to the front and repeat their plans to check. Guide Ss to compete for stickers. Then they can pass quickly and correctly. 4.

Guide Ss to learn “What will you do this weekend?”

And play the game “Ask and Answer”. Pick a group to answer “We will...”. The other groups should ask “What will you do this weekend?”.

T：Your plans are wonderful. Do you want to know Miss Xie’s plan. What will Miss Xie do this weekend? Who can ask? (Guide Ss to repeat the sentence on board.)

Ss: What will you do this weekend?

T: I will go to the park. And I will row a boat.

T: Next, let’s ask and answer. For example, “park” group stand up.

Park group: (Stand up.)

T: The other groups ask: What will you do this weekend? Park group should answer “We will...”. One, two go.

Ss: Stop.

Ss: What will you do this weekend?(The other four groups ask.)

Park group: We will sing a song. (Go on the practice among groups) 5.

(1) Let Ss watch the cartoon of part 2, find Daming’s and Amy’s

weekend plan and answer questions:  Where will Amy go?  Where will Daming go? (2)

Next let Ss listen to the tape and read after it. Then guide Ss to fill in blanks of Amy’s and Daming’s plans with PPT.

After this, let Ss read the text together and retell the story with simple figures on the blackboard.
