六下Unit 8 Our dreams 一、Teaching aims

（一）Knowledge aims

1. Ss can listen ,speak and read the words ：care about, astronaut, spaceship, football player，World Cup，dancer，pianist，come true。

2.Ss can listen ,speak and read the sentences ：What do you want to be in the future? I want to be a/an…

（二）Ability aims

1.Ss can understand and read the dialogue fluently , and then can retell it . 2.Ss can find the key information,and can also make notes. （三）Emotional aims .

1.Ss can think and discuss their dreams . 2.Ss know they should work hard to make their dreams come true .

二、Teaching importants and difficulties

1.Ss can listen ,speak and read the words and sentences . 2. Ss can read the dialogue fluently and retell it .

三、Teaching and learning method

In this class ,I mainly use the Task-based Teaching method .For example , Before watching the cartoon , I’ll give them some questions . Let them watch it by taking the task .

四、Teaching steps

（一）Pre-reading

1.Sing a song

Ask Ss if they have any dreams, then lead to the topic: Unit 8 Our dreams. [Purpose:Using this way to arouse Ss’ interest ,and review the jobs we learned before. ] 2.Free talk

1)How do you get to school ? 2)How do you get to Beijing ? 3)Then how do we get to the space or get to the moon ? 引出词汇astronaut Do you want to be an astronaut ? 3.Presentation 1)Watch a video about Shenzhou X . 2)then ask and answer T: How do they get to the moon? (By spaceship , Ss learn the new word.) When did they go ? (In 2013.) Who are the astronauts?( Nie Haishen ,Zhang Xiaoguang and Wang Yaping .) [Purpose: My purpose of this part is to add Ss’ knowledge about ShenzhouX , and widen their eyes .] 3). Guessing game Let Ss read the sentences carefully and guess their jobs ，using this way to learn the new words and sentences ：a football player, World Cup，spaceship，an astronaut，a pianist，Music makes people happy.，a dancer，Dancing makes people healthy and beautiful. 4). Quick respond [Purpose : Review and consolidate the jobs we learned just now . ]

（二）While-reading

1. Look at the picture，then answer the questions Q1:Who are they ? Q2:Where are they? Q3:What are they doing? 2.Watch and circle Let Ss watch the cartoon by taking the question, to get the general perception of the text . 3.Read and find

let Ss look at boys’ dreams,and then match .

[Purpose : In this part ,ask Ss to read P78 silently,underline the key sentences and discuss in groups,in order to develop Ss’ ability to find the key points .What does … want to do? … wants to …]

4.Read and repeat,try to imitate the pronunciation . (P78) 5.Read and discuss . Work in pairs . Let Ss read P79. Circle the new words and try to find out by themselves, fill in the blanks and discuss in pairs. Make sure they can use the sentences: A：What does ...want to be? B：She wants to be…

A: Why does … want to be..?/What does… want to do?

B: Because…/She wants to…

6. T : What ‘s Miss’ dream .Let them listen and say

，learn the phrase : come true 7. Read after the tape.(P79) 8. Choose one way to read the passage

（三）After-reading

1.Retell the text [Purpose : My purpose is to help the Ss to recall the content of the text .] 2.Discuss and share :work in groups 4 Ss a group to talk about their dreams ,then choose one leader to report. [Purpose ：My purpose is to develop the students’ ability to communicate with each other ,and develop their confidence, get the sense of satisfaction and the gladness of success .] 3.We’ll Share some sentences. [Purpose: My purpose of this part is to stimulate Ss to work hard , or he or she will be a daydreamer .]

（四）Assignments

1. Read the passage 3 times and try to retell . 2. Talk about your dreams with your family,try to use the sentences we learned today. 3. Look up the words about jobs on the Internet , and write them down . [Purpose : I think homework is so important that Ss should speak English as much as they can in class or after class . It is necessary for them to do some extensive exercise to consolidate the knowledge they learned .]
