This is the first period of unit 3. The main contents are the words, pencil box, pen, eraser, and the sentences, how are you? Fine, thank you, here is a new pencil box for you, Thank you. The sentences are widely used in our life. So I’ll help students to understand how to use the sentence in different situations.

活动1【讲授】How are you

Teaching steps

Step I. Warm up

1. Greeting

Ask the students to greet each other.

T; Hello, boys and girls!

Ss: Hello, Miss Wang.

T: Let’s play a game OK?

Ss: OK.

2. Listen to a song “How are you?”

Step II. Review

1. Teacher and students listen and do the play games.

2. Let’s act.

Choose two students to act the dialogue after next class.

Step III. Presentation

Enjoy the short play: (Teacher and three students.)The teacher is a doctor. The students are patients. They play two roles. Then the teacher asks: How are you? The student is so bad. So lead the students to say: not good/So bad. The doctor is treating the patient, the patient has recovered. Lead to say: Fine, thank you Next time, let’s listen to the story happening in wolf nest:

Show the CAI to study new sentences : How are you ? Fine,thank you.

3. Act out with “Grandpa” and “grandma” try to use “How are you?” “Fine, thank you ”.

4. Read the sentences several times.

5. Use the new sentence to act.

1 First draw a pencil box on the blackboard

Show the CAI to study new words.

Teach the new words: pencil box

Then brush “box” off→ pencil

Then last brush “ cil ”→ pen.

T: What’s in the pencil box? Let’s have a look. Oh, it’s an eraser. The same way to teach “eraser”.

2. Touch and guess. Show some old things .Then fix them into a box, Then give the box to the student. It’s for you. Here’s a new pencil box for you. Ask the students to touch and guess.

Lead the students to say the sentence “Here’s a---for you.” and answer “thank you.”Next time let’s go to the wolf nest again.what happy things happened in the wolf nest ?

Play the E whiteboard .Listen to the story two times.

T:Look!Here’s a new pen for you.

SS: Wow!It’s cool!Thank you.

3. Follow the teacher to read the new sentences.

4. Open the book and read part one.

5. Follow the tape several times.

6. Practice reading and acting in groups or pairs.

Step IV Practice

1. Check one by one.

Read and recite the dialogue in class and check one by one. Be sure that the Ss understand and read out the dialogue clearly.

2. Have a race.

Put all the words together. Then let students pass the words in groups. Find out the best group which read out the moot words in short time.

3 Sing an English song “How are you”.

Teach the new song.

Ask the students to sing the song in groups. Praise the best group with stars.

1. Follow the tape read and loud by students.

3. Practice reading and writing the new words and sentences.
