Be able to talk about one's favourite subjects and ask about the time of the course.

Be able to talk about the course arrangement of a week. Teaching Process:

Step I: Warm up and lead in

Greetings. Then check the homework. 2.

Play a game. Ask students to say the words about the subjects. If someone can`t answer it, invite him to come to the front to perform the actions in order to let others know what his favourite subject is and then ask him to give his reasons. Step II:Presentation

Free talk. The teacher asks students what is the date today? What day is it today? What classes do you have on this day? 2.

T:Do you know how many days are there in a week?Which day is the first day of a week?Present the picture of raising the national flag ask students what day is it ?It is Monday. Then present another picture about the art class then ask them what day do we have art class?Use this way to teach those new words. Step III:Listening 1.

Pre- listening (1)

Ask students to match the words on the left with their opposites on the right then finish 1a. (2)

Look at the timetable in 1b.Ask students to predict what the listening material is talking about. 2.

While- listening (1)Ask students to listen for the first time and check the words in 1a.

(2)Listen again then circle the classes David talks about on this schedule. (3)Listen the third time and check the answers.Then teacher will lead students to read after the tape and ask them to pay attention to the pronunciation and intonation. 3.Post- listening (1)After listening, teacher ask students to make conversation according to the listening materials and the sentence structure in 1d.Then ask several pairs to act out. (2)What's your favourite subject? If you are a teacher, what subjects you will arrange in the school timetable and give your reasons. Step IV Summary &Homework Today we have learned the words of a week and we can talk about our favourite subjects and give reasons freely.And we have also consolidated the knowledge in this unit and improved our comprehensive skill.
