Ⅰ、Teaching Aims a.

Knowledge objectives (语言知识目标) The students will be able to: 1). learn key words and useful expressions related to cities, such as attractive, pretty, tourist, district, gorgeous, so far, a great many, etc. 2). learn some topics about introducing cities, such as climate, people, location as well as some good expressions, like so far, the first time, a great many and so on.

b. Competence objectives（语言技能目标）

The students will be able to: 1). get the information of what the dialogue is about according to the clues. 2). improve some reading skills, like reading for the key words, details, clues and structure. 3). get the information of how to introduce a lively city by making a presentation in groups.

c. Moral objectives（情感态度目标）

The students will be able to: 1). cultivate team work and foster some characteristics, such as independence and confidence by giving presentation. 2). foster the enthusiasm and love for hometown by introducing a lively city as well as arouse a sense of being proud of themselves.
