一.教材分析

本课选自川教版三年级起点五年级下册，课题为Unit1

We love nature, Lesson3

A book about animals。本单元皆是围绕自然展开，而本课则主要谈论了一些动物：bear, fish, tiger, giraffe, shark, camel 及其居住地。本节为第一课时，主要要通过猜测讨论等方式让学生对课文理解并学会运用句型Where do...live?

...live in the... 二.学生分析

学生学习英语已经有两年多的时间，通过两年的学习积累，学生已经能听懂基本的课堂用语，并且养成了主动倾听，积极思考，善于观察图片，敢于用英语表达自己想法的好习惯。同时，本课涉及到的动物单词，学生在三四年级已经有所接触，因此有一定的知识储备。但本年段的学生也存在注意力不易长时间集中等问题，因此在设计课程时也会用到评价奖励机制，小组讨论合作等方式来提高学生学习积极性。

...live in the ...核心句型口头描述自己喜欢的动物的居住地，表达较为流利；

能结合板书复述课文。

1. Greetings 2. Divide the students into six groups: Group bears, Group fish, Group tigers, Group

giraffes, Group sharks, Group camels. Step 2: Lead-in 1. Free talk T: Do you like reading books?

Ss: Yes. / No. T: What kind of books do you like? Oh, I like reading books about flowers. What about you? Ss: I like reading books about... T: Oh, our two old friends like reading books, too. Step 3: Presentation 1.Look and Guess T: Look, who are they? Ss: They are Peter and Rose. T: Yes, look, Peter and Rose are talking about a book, can you guess what’s the book about? Ss:It’s about... T: Yes, maybe it’s about..., maybe it’s about... Now, let’s listen and check. 2. Think and Discuss T: If you are reading a book about animals, what do you want to know? Now, discuss with your partners.

3. Listen and Say T: OK. You want to know..., you want to know...Then let’s listen what you can get from this book. T: Yes. We can know what animals in this book, and where do animals live. So the topic of this book is “Where do they live?”

T: There are so many books in this book, now let’s listen what animals you can hear. T: OK. We can hear bears, fish, tigers, giraffes, sharks and camels in this book.
