Instructor: wangfang Ⅰ.Teaching material analyzing The key points of unit 2 are about inquiring and introducing the family in English. The main sentence patterns are “who’s that man (boy)? He’s my…. Who’s that woman (girl)? She’s my…. ” The difficult points of this unit are the words of Let’s learn and the letters of Let’s say. The words of family members appeared in Let’s learn of part A. The study of this unit helps the students further consolidate the knowledge of the content and will help the students with daily communication. Ⅱ.Learner analysis Students of grade 3 have already learned some words of family members before, such as “mom”, “dad” and “man”. The students are very excited when learning the easy words. So while teaching the content, we need more interesting games to practice the dialogue and the words. Ⅲ.Teaching aims

Presentation. ⑴Ask the students to wear the headgears, the let one student stand up, point Amy to the class and say: Look! Who’s this girl? Do you know? Then introduce Amy to the class. Stress the pronunciation of the word “she”. Teach the other word “he” by the same way.

⑵Have other students who wear the headgears stand up, ask other questions to practice the sentences.

⑶Show a picture of family tree, introduce family to the class, then teach the new words: mother(mom), father(dad).

⑷Show the content of let’s talk. Stress the pronunciation of the words mother and father. 3.

There are some words about family,They are easy To students.We can learn new words in the old language and practice them

with old words. The dialogue is suitable for them. Letters are very important. Most of students learned them in grade 1 or 2.We can play some games according to verb phrases in “let’s do”.

“Let’s chant”is designed by interesting ways. We can use tape, cards, pictures and many objects to learn new language part B. II. Learner analysis:

The children in grade four are active and lovely .They like to listen ,do action ,sing songs，read loudly ….But they don’t like to write correctly and quietly.Teacher can encourage them to recognize new letters or words,then try to spell and write.They like to role-play and play games.The teacher should design more exercises or games to make them excited.They will grasp quickly.
